iPhone 12 gets better speeds than the Mudi 7…

Is this normal? I thought the Mudi 7 was supposed to be blazing fast? A 5-6 year old iPhone gets better and more stable speeds than this thing… the connection also drops, a lot. It’s updated to 4.8.5. It arrived with 4.0 and with that firmware, cellular didn’t work at all. I’m not impressed with this thing at all.

Anyone with Visible+ struggling to connect to UW?

I have a newly activated line here on Visible+ and for the life of me I cannot get the device to connect to UW while another device next to it on the Plus Pro plan is connected to UW all the time. Is this a coincidence? Customer service couldn’t fix this.

4 cars ran my iPhone over today…

I’m crossing the street and lucky me, I drop my phone. I don’t even know how many cars passed by before one finally decided to be nice enough to stop and let me grab my phone. I did count how many ran it over with their tires. Four cars. One was a fucking Cybertruck.

I pick up my phone and I don’t see ANY signs of damage. How?! Not even a scratch on my screen protector, and it was facing down so the screen protector definitely was rubbing against the pavement. It’s not bent. The only barely noticeable thing is there is one itty bitty tiny scratch on the outer layer of one of the camera lenses, and I had to really look for it. I’m pretty shocked.

I have an electric mini motorbike that needs basic bike maintenance…

Do I need to go to an e-bike shop for non e-bike maintenance and repairs? Or can I go to a regular bike shop? All my e-bike components are in great working order. All I need done is my rear wheel being trued and spokes properly adjusted. I’m also open to upgrading to better tires if said shop sells them. 20 x 4 fat tires.

Heads up… Washtenaw Ave and e-bikes don’t mix well. Potholes galore and sometimes it’s impossible to avoid them, hence why I’m dealing with this wheel and spokes issue now. I feel like in past years Ann Arbor has done a better job with road maintenance than this year, at least so far.

Returning Member & My Experience w/ Visible 5G Home Internet

So my hubby and I recently moved from an apartment complex to a house. Unfortunately, we found that T-Mobile and AT&T suck at our house while they performed extremely well at our old apartment while Verizon absolutely sucked. Because of that, we had to switch from our grandfathered OG T-Mobile Home Internet plan to Visible 5G Home Internet. We are highly satisfied with the new service, noting consistent 150 Mbps speeds, low latency, and reliable performance for gaming and streaming.

Here is my experience returning to Visible. The last time I was with Visible, Visible was using their former cloud network and was offering Party Pay discounts at the time.

• The Move: At our old apartment, AT&T and T-Mobile kicked ass. 600-800 Mbps during peak hours, while Verizon was very sluggish. Spotty B13 LTE indoors. Wi-Fi calling was absolutely required. After moving last month, everything did a complete 180. Verizon is great while AT&T and T-Mobile struggle. I can get around 20 Mbps with AT&T and 1-3 Mbps with T-Mobile in some spots of the house. Most of the time, T-Mobile data does not work at all, even with a good signal. Calling and texting seem to be okay. Both T-Mobile and AT&T connect to their 5G+/5GUC network. Even outside, I can get a great signal with T-Mobile but speeds are still awful for 5G’s standards. 5-10 Mbps outside. AT&T can pull 30 Mbps while outside.

• The Switch: Like I mentioned, we had to give up our $25/month T-Mobile Home Internet service and we decided to up for Visible 5G Home Internet as well as Visible+ Pro at $35/month (for two years). I still have a $10 tax-inclusive unlimited data plan for iPads with my T-Mobile business account and I plan on keeping it as I do use my iPad on the go a lot. It’s grandfathered and will be very difficult to let that plan go.

• The Results: We now average 150 Mbps during peak hours with low latency, and our Apple Watches (hubby has the U1 and I have the U3) both work well in and around our new home. We wanted to share a positive experience amidst the negative feedback Visible often receives.

About 3 weeks in w/ Home Internet…

Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with it. Low latency and speeds are good enough for anything that I need to do. It was either this or Verizon’s “Lite” version of their 5G home internet, which is more expensive than Visible’s Home Internet. It would have been cool to have the option for a built-in battery. Instead, I hooked it up to my Uninterrupted Power Source since the area we just moved to is more prone to tornadoes and severe weather vs where we moved from. $30 for what we’re getting is a pretty good deal, too. Definitely cheaper than Comcast (they have a monopoly here), which I refuse to do business with.

People in apartments: Anyone want/need a portable washer & dryer?

In the process of moving and we are looking to sell some things we no longer need. Doing laundry in apartment complexes can be a hassle as well as becoming expensive. Last year, my hubby and I bought these two units. The dryer has a 3 year extended warranty that I can transfer over to the new owner. Washer is under warranty through July 21st.

They’re both in mint condition. Not a scratch, dent, or anything on either unit. We are asking $400 for both. They include carts so they can be rolled around. Also includes a vent attachment for the dryer so you don’t have to attach the tube to a window. The lint goes directly inside the box you see in the picture. You have to fill it halfway with water. Empty and refill when necessary.

Missing out on the Backmarket Promo Code

Ok, so here’s the sitch.

I bought a phone on Backmarket and was supposed to get a promo code to get a discounted rate for V+ Pro. I got the confirmation email. Visible is listed in it but the promo code is just missing. Same with the confirmation page. But there’s a promo code for this T-Mobile MVNO that I’ve never heard of. This is what I’m seeing. I’ve refreshed it so many times but the box remains blank. I’m trying to get the $33 rate for 36 months.

Backmarket says contact Visible. Visible says contact Backmarket. What do I do?
