Loss of honorifics

First of all, I just want to state that I’m not learning Korean and my question is actually coming from my own language.
I’m Hungarian and nowadays many young people tend to stop using the formal version of words for example: greetings towards older people. Most of them says that it is awkward to use, even though it is definitely more polite. They are also comparing it to English saying that they only have “You” to address someone which makes it a lot easier.
So, i’ve been wondering since I know honorifics and respect (formal language) are important in the Korean language. Do young people also “rebel” and “get lazy” with these? Do they often drop 형, 언니, 선배, 동생 etc.?

Sorry, if my question (or my very poor explanation) doesn’t make sense but this just popped up in my head!
If the post doesn’t fit the sub I will remove it.

Fekete haj

That look of people’s eyes

Hey, so I’ve been feeling extremely lonely lately because having anxiety does not mean that I don’t want social interaction. I’ve been trying my best to be outgoing and initiate conversations (as a form of exposure therapy) but I fear that look in others eyes. I don’t know if you guys know what I’m talking about but it’s that somewhat judgmental look, furrowing eyebrows and looking very serious as if I’m an alien trying to talk to them. It almost feels like I’m being pitied.

It also does not help that when I tried to socialize before, I got asked “why are you here?” in separate occasions by different people.
Really makes me feel like an outcast, even though I try to be a genuine person.

Is the eye thing something that I should be aware of? Am I missing a social cue there? Just thinking about it makes me tear up.

If this is not the right sub, please tell me and i’ll move my post, I’m just wondering if any of you experience the same thing.

Weight loss routine (maintenance or not?)

I’ve been suffering from BED (binge eating disorder) since last year after going on a low kcal diet where I lost 7 kgs but gained double of that amount back unfortunately in roughly 3 months. (When I was younger my eating was not really regulated since my parents were busy, I would eat bags of chips and sweets with sodas) Lately, I am back on track with losing weight (5 kgs lost since january) but I am not sure how to maintain the proccess. (I had binges during but for a good month or two I was gaining and losing the same 2-3 kgs)

So, I was thinking of doing 30 days of a deficit and after that maintenance for a week because otherwise I feel like it would be too much of a stress for my body and mind. So, my question would be that is this a good plan? Or is it pointless to do so many maintenances and this will get me nowhere? Back then when I was losing weight I was eating 1300calories for like half a year without breaks and binges. I am 5”8 but pretty sedentary so I wouldn’t up my calories too much. I am also not overweight and never been but I am unsatisfied with my current looks.

Sorry if this is messy, I was just typing whatever came to my mind first.

Binge as a reward

So, i’ve been trying to lose weight. I lost 7kgs before but unfortunately gained it all back and even more due to binging for roughly like two months. Now I feel like i’m back on track but everytime the scale drops i get a thought that i should reward myself with a binge. Even though i know that’ll ruin all my progress and the next week’s too. Does anyone have tips how to reward myself without it being food? i can’t afford to buy stuff like clothes everytime but it’d be nice if i had any other goals besides eating uncontrollably.

Stuck in a loop

For the past year everytime I sit down to study I get stuck in a loop, I always study or solve the first few pages/problems then whenever I take a break I end up going back to the beginning again. It feels like im wasting my time because I already know and remember that part but somehow i can’t overcome it. Does anyone else struggle with this? It also happens whenever I try to do math, solving the first few problems over and over and not getting any further :( (i’m in university and I don’t remember struggling with this earlier - like in high school - when I had way less things to study not hundreds of pages but a few only)

Futurizmus
