Advice on how to spread starting stats and how to spend points?

Wanting to go for a good jack of all trades style of build so good at combat horseback or on ground for sieging but not sure what additional skills I should technically go for that benefit since I’ve read it seems like you shouldn’t overtly spend points on too much combat skills.

Does skill in it affect major speed or abilities with it like swing or blocking since pole arms are better for horseback and one/handed for ground so do I need to invest in both and a ranged skill? Also what technically is better given to allies versus something I should spec into since I want to be front and center in combat but I don’t want to undermine other QOL mechanics either.

Complete noob here

The main issue of 4’s Dante is that his weapons are extremely ground-based

Both Lucifer and Gilgamesh have very limited air moves both requiring JCs to really utilize and both essentially have mechanics that heavily emphasize being stuck on the ground due to the pins and charging mechanics.

It just feels like even compared to 3‘s version Dante feels extremely weighed down by the fact to get the most out of them you can have stay on the ground. Everyone else feels like they’re built around both the air and the ground but here you’ve got to fight the harder gravity to utilize them due to the lack of flow in the air.

Is the Iron Greatsword’s damage really that much higher than the other greatswords to justify the cons?

Assuming STR build

Claymore- Highest range with pokes, and spear buffs it’s piercing

Knight- Faster R1s and notable higher range

Ordovis- Holy buffs DLC and is mostly physical anyway with some insane stance breaking further amped.

All not necessary to farm either, also it’s a bit stubbier if you’re used to the others. The highest AR diff is about 50-75 from the others besides Ordovis, anyhow

Recommended sliders to look slim but not disproportionate in armor?

For the longest time I just assumed a lot of armor just were fatter by default but seeing that slides can adjust this heavily I was hoping someone has a suggestion for how to make my male have proper proportions.

Improving Dante’s controls in DMC 4/5 suggestions? (Remapping)

All things considered seems like most prefer his default or minor tweaks like square and triangle remapped but is there more to it to improve it without using claw or not really?

MC gets skipped and or has low turn order all the time?

My dude has 5 initiative and it seems like I’m either going last all the time despite everyone else being at 2-3 initiative. But at the same time it seems like everyone else gets to at least more or do something before I can get my first turn?

Am I missing something?

Charisma is the best stat, similar advantages to fighter and you get EB alongside booming blade and short rest nova potential like it? Any real reason to use over BM besides less feats?
