Chicken of the Woods, Alley Pond Park in Queens, New York City
My first ever chicken sighting 🧡
Astoria Park, Queens, New York City
Did a shoreline cleanup with the park’s alliance this morning. By the end of it, the beach was sparkling! No litter and just lots of colorful glass left 🩵
Shoreline glass appreciation!
Following up to my post from yesterday with more photos after I did a shoreline cleanup this morning with Astoria Park Alliance (highly recommend to anyone like me who likes to just get outside and help out in the neighborhood!) By the time we left, the area between the two bridges was basically free of trash, leaving only the pretty glass 🩵
Beach glass at the shoreline
Torn between loving beach/sea glass and thinking this is pretty in a way, but also knowing there’s way too much of it and that it’s the result of littering! 🍾
Info on this set I’ve had since 2008?
I’ve had these Animal Crossing collectibles since I believe 2008, and would love to know more about them. Who made them, what year, and were they for Gamecube or Wild World?

Sound bath/aromatherapy mix?
Hi all! I moved to the neighborhood last week and would love to find a reasonably priced place that does either gentle yoga/meditation with some kind of combination of a sound bath or aromatherapy or both (even if it’s just for a segment of a session.) I’m still chasing the feeling of the classes I used to go to at Drip Sweat where you’d do yoga but they’d also bring around a singing bowl and the room smelled amazing. I don’t even know if it was incense or some other type of aromatherapy, but it was memorably calming. So far, in the neighborhood I’ve only been to Yoga Agora vinyasa classes on Fridays, and while I enjoy them and are great for when I want to do vinyasa, they’re missing that soundbath and calming scent atmosphere I’m looking for. Any suggestions would be so appreciated! 💜
