she's inspired by maneki-neko but she looks a bit boring, I wonder what accessories, cultural attributes and what clothes pattern I could add?

I'm making maneki-neko inspired character as a mascot for something and at first I gave her the hairstyle in the first picture, these ponytails have 8 sections since 8 is a lucky number (either 7 or 8 but I chose 8!) and I showed it to my friend but they told me she can get mistaken for hatsune miku, so I'm trying out different hairstyles on her! it's a really rough design and I still plan to make multiple versions but I do find this hairstyle cute but I'm afraid I have to either change her hairstyle or her hair color...
