Need some solid advice and thoughts on food!

This is maybe the wrong subreddit fot this so hmu if you know a better one! Also english isn’t my native tounge so beware lol.

Some context to my situation, i mostly gym for the Health benifits and to shed a little of my body fat, my goal isn’t to become ripped or super muscular, just look healthy.

Heres my concerns and my questions.

Everytime i try to count macro calories and go on diets etc it always turns unhealthy and i obsess way to much and that is something i would like to work around. Also i do not really have the money to buy the best products etc.

Heres my questions.

Do i really need to count every single calorie ?

Do i have to think about every single thing i eat ?

Can i have some more freedom in my diet ?

I understand that i shouldn’t eat junk food or super big portions and that i should eat more protien but any tips, advice or thoughts would be of great help!

Cheers everyone and i wish you a wonderfull day! <3

Should i explain to my friends why i left ?

Hello, you wonderful people!
Should I explain to my old friends why I disappeared?
Here’s some context.

Throughout high school, I had a close group of best friends. There were eight of us, including me, and we spent a lot of time together. We were all really close, but as the years went by, I started feeling more and more like the group just wasn’t for me anymore.
These were the main reasons why:

We only hung out when alcohol was involved.

They became increasingly racist and hateful toward other people over time — some of them even started acting borderline Nazi-like.

The constant “jokes” and insults toward each other got so extreme that I genuinely couldn’t tell whether they were jokes anymore or actual personal attacks.

I simply felt terrible around them, and I noticed myself slowly starting to adopt their behavior. I refused to become someone I’m not.

About a year ago, I decided to leave the group. Instead of explaining myself, I chose to completely ghost them because I honestly didn’t think trying to explain my feelings would go over well.

The thing is, they weren’t always like this. I still don’t fully understand what happened, because they used to be kind, loving, and genuinely fun to be around. Even today, I still care about them and wish them the best.

I hadn’t heard from any of them until about two weeks ago, when I randomly met one of them at a bar. He asked me why I left, and I explained my reasons. He wasn’t happy about it, but he understood — or at least accepted it — and that honestly meant a lot to me.

Now it has me wondering: should I explain things to the rest of them too, even after a whole year? Is it even worth it at this point?

I don’t regret my decision at all, but I do sometimes think about who they used to be, and I still care about them despite everything.

I know ghosting them wasn’t the nicest way to leave, but at the time it made sense to me. I’ve also grown a lot since then.

What do you guys think? Should I explain myself to all of them, or just leave it in the past?
