I need help

What’s the best Character.AI alternative?

I’m looking for a Character.AI-like app or website that’s completely free and has unlimited messages with no daily limits or credits. I also want little to no censorship, good memory, natural conversations and good character creation.

Basically something as close to old Character.AI as possible, but without all the annoying limits.

What’s the best one you’ve found?

16M

Looking for long-term online friends :) Hey, I'm 16 and looking for people my age to chat with regularly and maybe build a long-term friendship. I don't really mind what your interests are—the main thing is that we can have a relaxed conversation and laugh together :) I like gaming, anime, and movies/series, and I'm open to pretty much any topic. You don't have to message 24/7, but I'd love for this to turn into something more than just a two-day conversation. If you're interested, feel free to send me a DM :)

Looking for friends

16M looking for people to chat with :) Heyy, 16M here. I’m just looking for some new people to message and get to know. I’m open to pretty much anything—gaming, anime, TV shows, music, everyday stuff, or just totally random conversations :D Ideally, people around my age. Maybe a few messages will even turn into a good friendship :) Feel free to send me a DM if you’re also looking for new people to chat with!

How can I tell if my friend still wants to keep in contact with me?

16M, 17F — friends for a few weeks

I met a girl at my vocational school a few weeks ago. On the first day, she approached me and later asked for my Instagram. After that, we started texting very actively, sometimes having deep conversations.

When school started again, we became closer. She didn't want to go straight home, so we spent time together and went for walks. She sometimes playfully pushed me while we were walking. The next day, we went for another walk during break and went clothes shopping together. She also told me personal things about her boyfriend, including that he doesn't do much with her. After PE, she chased me and a friend and playfully hit us with her bag. She also often looked at me during class.

I eventually told her that I really like spending time with her. She clearly told me that she doesn't want anything more than friendship. I respect that and I'm also happy to stay friends.

After I told her that, she still continued talking to me normally. We had conversations about what we were doing, and when she was bored I offered to keep chatting with her. She said yes. One evening I told her good night and she replied “oki good night.” I reacted with a heart.

The next morning I sent her “Good morning.” She hasn't replied since then. At the same time, I noticed that I can no longer see her new Instagram stories and I can't properly see her activity status anymore.

I'm now unsure what this means. I don't want to pressure her or keep messaging her if she wants space.

What specific signs should I look for at school or over text to understand whether she still wants to keep the friendship, and how should I handle the situation if she doesn't initiate contact herself?
