Emma art

Emma art

Feeling creative and tried to make something in tribute of Emma, but then creativity fizzled. I was anticipating simple bookmarks for the friends I’ve convinced to share my obsession and heartbreak with this series, but now I’ve no idea how to finish them. Should have made the book shelves bigger on them. I think I’d add a border and a quote from the books on each, but they need more. My skills are beginning enough that I don’t think I could do a lion like her calling card or pendant, and a fern would be fun but no idea how to watercolor a fern (yet).

Bonus fun: my kids instantly knew what I was doing with this stack of rectangles and my daughter asked why I was painting Emma Lion. 😂

Vol 8 spoiler— Apostles garden argument?

Apologies if this had already been asked, but I’m listening to vol 8 tonight- spoilers ahead!

Are Islington and Hawkes perhaps arguing over the newly revealed state of Pierce and Emma’s relationship? This occurs later in the day where Hawkes starts to say “you and Pierce….” And then walks away, and I believe is the day after Islington asks how long they’ve had an understanding with each other.

Islington has newly heightened reservations about Pierce after watching everything that happened at nettle, and I can only assume Hawkes does as well. I wonder if they’re trying to decide as Emma’s guardians how to proceed?

Emma phrases for bracelets?

I want to make a couple bracelets and possibly book charms for myself in honor of this delightful series. I’ve seen such amazing fan art I want to make some too but starting more simply 😂

i just can’t decide which phrases! i definitely want to make one with “imperrterritus”, and “until they are”, but what else would be fun? I’m not wild enough to wear a “Team Pierce” as I’m happily married and my husband’s name is not Pierce… 😂if you were making a bracelet, what would it say?

Homemade paper- need inspiration!

my kids and i made this over the last couple days, and I want to use it to make bookmarks and journal pages, I just don’t know how to. it’s tricky to use adhesives on, and I’m worried the flower petals may fall apart as it ages. it’s quite thick so I’m not sure I could laminate it either. any advice?

Chasing a diagnosis?

I’ve been experiencing a myriad of symptoms, which conferring with Dr Google, match a possible MCAS diagnosis. possibly POTS, but not sure. I recently had a widespread rash that did not respond to anything for 3.5 weeks (after 2ish I started taking 20mg Zyrtec daily at dr recommendation and it may have slowly cleared it up). I have dizziness, headaches, gi issues, widespread but not always constant joint pain and swelling, total exhaustion, brain fog, racing/pounding pulse and blood pressure that seems to spike and drop especially in heat or stress. there’s more but it’s hard to talk about.

my blood work from the rash showed some extremely high inflammation markers which my dr agreed could be signs of chronic illness. I don’t feel like I specifically have to have a diagnosis to move on but I feel small and like people think I’m faking symptoms because they’re invisible. I need to schedule a follow up but I don’t know how to proceed here. it’s stressing me out. My husband is supportive and understanding, but doesn’t know what to do either. sorry this is rambling; I haven’t been able to get out of bed for a few days except for very brief periods.

Islington’s Christian name

I don’t know if this is really a spoiler, but I don’t want to upset anyone.

is anyone else mildly offended that Islington’s first name is Henry? It just doesn’t suit him.

Chasing an MCAS spectrum diagnosis

Has anyone had any luck with seeing a local-ish doctor for an MCAS/POTS or sim diagnosis? or received any other help with mitigating the symptoms? Chasing a diagnosis and getting discouraged by “wait and see” responses.

Stinky laundry- help!

we accidentally left a load of laundry in the dryer over the weekend and either forgot to start it, or our dryer did its little trick where it sometimes stops after a few minutes and doesn’t finish. now we have a super smelly load of old wet laundry- what do I do? can’t hang it outside as it’s supposed to rain the next few days.

Anybody have experience with applying for disability access recently?

my son has a documented physical disability that limits his ability to stand and walk and could genuinely benefit from the disability access perks. I don’t know much about it other than it’s much harder to be approved than it used to be. I don’t even know what type of documentation we would need to apply. we have been to the park multiple times before but he was small enough for a stroller then, and it wasn’t an issue. now he‘s too tall for a stroller and too heavy to carry so we need to explore options. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! We could always rent our own wheelchair for the parks and sort of wing it if that’s easier but then we still have lines to figure out.

Looking for help creating a complex food/symptom/mood tracker, but I have a mental block.

I’m not sure what flair to use, as it’s sort of a multi-faceted question.

My young son and I have some different chronic health complications that I need to track better for future medical appointments in order to get more accurate help.

I really need some help figuring out a layout where I can quickly be tracking what we eat/ symptoms/mood for me/ pain levels. I can’t wrap my brain around how to ”build” a tracker in my bullet journal that would be able to track that many things at a page. (I would want to keep separate charts for each of us, not one for both.) thanks in advance for any help or ideas!

How do I get thinking putty/silly putty out of a sock?

my daughter accidentally stepped on her thinking putty while playing and 90% of it came right off but the remainder stuck firmly.
