Somewhat outdated kitchen with plenty of dark brown and beige. Lighter gray wall paint in the works, and I want to replace the stools with something less bulky and lighter in color.
Any stool style or color suggestions to brighten/modernize the space without clashing?
Same applies to the pendant lights.
I usually visit at least once a year. I was surprised to notice that there are significantly less smokers in public areas and restaurants this year. I know there’s been heavier enforcement, but surprised that it may be effective after all.

Now that Cree was sold off to Feit, I’m having trouble finding quality budget recessed lights for under $20/ea. I tried a few big box store brands, but the lighting quality and color rendering is piss poor as expected.
Any recommendations for 6” LED retrofit recessed lights under $20/ea? Preferably 3500K.
My vote is usually Pizza Knight in Hackensack (though I wish for thinner). What’s yours?
Is it just me, or are potholes in Bergen County significantly worse this year than in other years?
It’s mid May, and probably 50% of the potholes have been “patched,” and very poorly at that.
