The estimated amount of victims over time.

Sept 11: Highest Estimate (NYCOEM): 15,600, Lowest Estimate (ABC News): 12,000

Sept 12: Highest Estimate (NYCOEM): 7,000, Lowest Estimate (FOX News): 5,500

Sept 13: Highest Estimate (NYCOEM): 4,000, Lowest Estimate (ABC News): 3,000

For the next couple of days the number hung around 3,000-3,300

On September 24, NYCOEM terminated the search & rescue operations and transitioned it into a body recovery operation. They gave the number of 2,879 deaths.

On May 30th, 2002 the cleanup operations ceased and the number of 2,981 victims was given.

Between May 30th and July 7th, 3 believed to be deceased victims were found out to actually be alive

On September 25th, 2002 a man thought to be a victim was found alive in a mental hospital leaving the number at 2,977 which is still the official number of victims.

The number of 2,977 was disputed by the 9/11 memorial & museum in the mid 2010's as they found that a number of undocumented immigrants (50-60 Approx.) may of been killed during the attacks. 25 of so were never added to the victims list.

Counting those and also the unclaimed body the OCME found near the rubble on Sept 12th puts the number of victims at:

3,003 (Approx.)

I personally believe the number of victims is somewhere around 2,985 or 2,990

Interesting pieces of debris I found while looking through the NYPD Images on the south side of the buildings. (NSFL since some body parts are visible, although they are not focused on)

Omori fans when you tell them to not sexualize underage characters:

Hiding behind an alt because they know they will get ostracized if they said it on their main account is the cherry on top.

I miss when this community wasn't like this, I feel like it got 10X worse after 2022.

Comment was gone when I opened it, mods or reddit deleted it.

What's with the almost excess amount of non-female crew inside the aft starboard side lifeboats? While the port side boats were being launched with too little crew.

Only 10 Crew were needed to manage each boat (8 to row, 1 to man the tiller and 1 in charge) so this is really odd to me.

"Emergency Showcase June 27th" Signs around Lancaster (What are they about?)

Hey, was gonna post this on facebook but then I remembered I deleted my account there, so I'll ask it here.

I was in Lancaster earlier today and all around town (and even in Jefferson) there were these signs talking about something along the lines of a "Emergency showcase at the Lancaster fair on June 27th" I looked it up on google and all I could find is a facebook event from 2024. Really confused, kind of worried, what the fuck are these signs about.

NIST or Commission Documents about the 92nd floor, or anything similar.

I am working on a massive post about the 92nd floor, which should be ready around early-mid July. And I am asking for any NIST Documents about the 92nd floor or anything similar.

I've been busy with work so I can't sift through documents on my own so if any of you could help me, that would be great. Thank you.

So apparently, they ran out of Dining Steward uniforms but they still needed more Stewards for this scene. The Deck & Saloon Steward uniforms stood out too much so they decided to use 3rd Class Steward uniforms, even though they are supposed to be 1st Class Dining Stewards.

I honestly never noticed it until he told me, but it's a neat little detail.
