I Am 250 Battles into Five Parsecs from Home! It's still awesome!

In January last year, I decided to complete all 17 Elite Ranks in Five Parsecs and, because the rulebook says to send Modiphius proof, I started recording them like a neeerd.

We are now here, 85 weeks later, averaging 3 battles a week and christ... It's still great! I'm having a great time 😁 I've chucked basically everything from the Compendium that I think I'll remember and am still looking for increased difficulty spikes.

This is basically an appreciation post, this game remains brilliant. Here's to 500-odd more 😁

Got a celebration four-way battle video that you can find here, and the whole playlist if you work at Modiphius and want to regret joking about proof right here, ya cowards!

I would say ask me anything, but I genuinely don't think I've actually learned anything about... Anything, really 😛

How do I turn off "for you" as default?

It's awful.

My "for me" is the subs I want to look at, not some random subs that have been thrown at me. Apparently this is an experiment some redditors are getting randomly, so I'm assuming there's an "opt out" somewhere but can't find anything.

Two months into Solar Riot's cyberpunk rampage...

...and it's going off the rails.

I started out wanting to do a low level street gang campaign, but in 23 turns they've fought enforcers, corporate zombies, enforcers civilian vigilantes, enforcers, robot assassins, enforcers, mutant bugs, enforcers, other street gangs, enforcers, renegade construction bots, enforcers and enforcers.

It's been a blast 😁

I'm at 19 wins out of the target of 50 and, now that I'm well over 200 games in, I can safely say, I'm enjoying this game even more than when I started 😁

How big should a five leagues map be?

I feel very stupid for asking this, but I've read the rulebook and compendium multiple times and cannot work this out 😅 Roughly how many areas/regions will make for a good game? My gut is saying 1 region with 2-3 areas per settlement, another area per threat then expand out as needed, but my brain kinda wants a whole map up front, you know? 😅

New Season of Battle Box Batrep : It's time for Urban War!

In an extreme hit of nostalgia, I recently discovered that Urban War, a sci fi skirmish game from when I was a teenager, recently got a third edition and I just had to play it! Over the next few months, I'm gonna be pitting the starter set armies against each other to see if the game is as good as I remember it, or if the rose-tinted nostalgia goggles have been deployed in full (spoilers - it's the first one. It's still good. It's really good.).

I'm putting up videos weekly for the next few months, starting here! I hope some of you enjoy! 😃
