I have a hard time navigating pdfs while playing and prefer a tactile approach, so I had it printed and shipped. Took a bit, but I'm pretty happy with the results.
Really looking forward to using my Legion minis again!
What line of minis that fit with 5 Parsecs? I am looking for robot figures to use. I have some Stargrave mini packs but no bots.
I can live to be a hundred and never take a good picture of a miniature lol. Slowly working through my pile of shame and getting my Planetfall forces together. Toort soldiers from Genesee miniatures on Etsy.
Planetfall sector map management
I've just released support for Five Parsecs: Planetfall in the app https://fiveparsecs.online
You can now manage a Planetfall campaign with:
Planetfall can be played either as a full standalone campaign or alongside Core Five Parsecs content.
This was a big release, so feedback is very welcome. If you find something odd, missing, or confusing, please let us know.
So I've been trying for a while now to get my hands on a 5 Parsecs rulebook (physical) for a while now but it is seemingly constantly sold out now.
Are the other books extensions of the core, like Planetfall for example, or are they able to be used as a standalone system? I want to start using the ruleset for some games but I don't like operating from an online PDF, I like a physical book
Phew think I'm there now! Obv more models on than would be but it's a show off. Slyn, sleepers, pirates, scouts, grunts, scientist, soldiers. Planet theme is a mineral rich ancient industrial woth metallic plant life. Oh there's crabs in there as well.
Greetings, faithful citizens of the Imperium and sanctioned abhumans. I present to you 40,000 Parsecs From Home: Starstriders, a Warhammer-themed 5PFH supplement for those who wish to drench their campaigns in grimdark vibes and nuln oil. In order to get the most out of this supplement, you'll need a copy of the 5PFH core rulebook and a decent understanding of the setting.
Consider this PDF public domain; it may be shared and edited freely.
I am currently working on a second supplement (40,000 Parsecs From Home: Imperial Agent) that incorporates ideas from Bug Hunt and other parts of the Compendium; I wanted to share this in the meantime for those looking for a closer-to-vanilla experience.
The Emperor Protects.
Made some 5 minute blasted hills to fill up some space on my 5 parsecs boards. Black spray coat then a brown drybrush and a black drybrush.
Made some baddies to use in 5 parsecs out of the wargames atlantic cannon fodder kit. Really loving this kit so far
Moving from Five Parsecs and Leagues into Haywire.
I really enjoy the campaign Parsecs and Leagues has for play outside of the skirmishes. Having to spend money on upkeep, a base or space ship, taking different contracts for pay, quests, random encounters and events that impact your group, recruitment, buying equipment, the list goes on.
I’ve dabbled in converting all the Five Parsecs stuff outside the skirmishing, into something more modern and applicable to Haywire, to allow for this additional to the game.
Is there already something like this that exists, or something other people have been using to accomplish this?
I find 8 members way to many, i have five leagues and fhe compendium with deep below, I wanted to play deep below coop with my wife, how would we go about using only 6 or 4 members?
I know 5leagues you can start with 4 and it mentions the battles can be scaled.. but i dont see the same option in deep below, seems to force 8 members.
Had some randomly generated heroes for a solo game that I wanted minis for, so I got this crew all painted up!
Pictured:
Iris (Duskling) with sword+shield, mini from Shining Heroes mini line
Lily (halfling) follower, mini from Reaper Minis
Olive (Beastfolk) with Crossbow, mini from Kawna Minis
Rose (human) with "warhammer" (big sword), mini from Twin Goddess minis (3d printed on fdm printer so not the best print, but paint hides many sins!)
Strawberry ("halfling", using goblin) with bow, mini from Twin Goddess minis (resin print)
Tulip (human) mystic with staff, mini from Relicblade
Thoughts on the project:
Purple skin was challenging, and the face sculpt was hard to get at.
I really tried to push myself to make all the faces as high value ("brighter") as I could, and I think it worked well on some but was harder for others.
I had a nice tan skin on the Relicblade mini, but the face was too dark. After brightening the face the mini looks better but she doesn't look very tan anymore, so I gotta work on figuring that stuff out.
Just wanted to share some pictures from our 5PFH campaign. Turns out you can run a (very chaotic) 8 person campaign.
I’m trying something new: a story-driven campaign episode for Five Parsecs from Alderaan.
Episode 01: Checkpoint at Vesh Gate is a linked three-part scenario packet built around a refugee route, Imperial checkpoint pressure, forged papers, informants, hard choices, and consequences that carry forward into later episodes.
The idea is to keep the normal campaign feel of Five Parsecs intact, while giving players a more structured story episode they can drop into their own campaign. You still play the battles, make the decisions, roll for outcomes, take the risks, and deal with the aftermath — but the packet gives you a focused narrative situation with recurring NPCs, mission-specific rewards, and an end-of-episode outcome reader that helps interpret what your crew’s version of the story means.
In this episode, your crew is drawn into the situation at Vesh Gate, an Imperial checkpoint controlling movement between a port district and an Alderaanian refugee quarter.
A small Rebel-aligned cell called Blue Lantern is trying to move people through the gate before the Empire closes the route. Someone has leaked names. The checkpoint commander is watching. The papers may not hold. And by the end, your crew has to decide what matters most: saving people, exposing the traitor, or breaking the gate.
The packet includes:
I want these to feel less like isolated scenarios and more like playable campaign television: each episode has a situation, a problem, a few key people, and several possible outcomes. Your crew’s choices determine what survives, what burns, who remembers, and who comes looking for them afterward.
No two runs should end exactly the same way.
One crew might quietly save the refugees and earn Blue Lantern’s trust. Another might blow the gate open, draw Imperial attention, and leave half the district in lockdown. Another might fail, lose the route, and have to chase the consequences into the next episode.
That’s the part I’m most interested in testing.
Since this is the first release in this format, I’d really like to hear what works and what doesn’t.
The most useful feedback would be:
Comments, actual-play notes, screenshots, messy campaign outcomes, rules questions, and “here’s what my crew did” stories are all welcome.
If people enjoy this format, I’ll keep going and post more episodes. The next one is planned to follow the fallout from Vesh Gate into an Imperial records chain known as The Detention Ledger.
Inquisitor and her retinue bringing order (oppression) to the world's cut off by the great rift.
Knocked up some quick Khorne cultists to oppose the crew of the Gift Of Ignorance
The crew of the Saxony.
Makeda Fukuda, a former mercenary from a human colony world. "Liberated" an old junk transport and now she's trying to find somewhere to feel safe again.
Khet, a K'Erin Marksman from a failed colony. Signed up as a soldier, learned some tricks and now he watches Makeda's back.
Koku, a K'Erin trader, trained in bureaucracy but looking for somewhere to belong.
Kemi Abegunde, a Technician and wannabe mechanic grabbed from a low tech colony world by slavers. She's got a kid brother somewhere out there and one day she's going to find him.
Xero Rìos, a trader, talker, politician and thief. Xero knows how to make contacts and find a buyer in a hurry. His methods aren't always the most legitimate but he is loyal to his crew to a fault. They're his family.
And Honourable V'Kesh, the Engineer. He's out in the dark searching for something, something he can't tell anyone about. He's hit up every database and thinking engine he can find trying to pick up the next clue, and he's got a feeling the Saxony might just be destined to lead him to it. If he can keep the old junker flying long enough.
