Saw them at the old farm and garden store around back

Restoring the service stairs in this 1853 farmhouse. Planning on removing all the old paint/varnish and restore them, but what’s your favorite?

Spent the week putting up this fence. Been doing it for years and this one was difficult because absolutely no board was straight. However, it looks like it’s supposed to for a 175 year old home and museum

What do we think? It’s $135 on the Walmart website

If you saw my post last week about going around the tree, here’s my update. I built the last panel like a gate to give it some rigidity. I also used one of those Simpson 24” spikes to create a buttress for the last post. Not very often do I get to say buttress lol.

Wife’s 92 year old grandmother passed recently. We are going through her basement and found these.

This is most of my collection. The TOMY 1/10 replicar is too big to fit in there, but everything else does! Sorry for the lackluster photo quality. Hard to photo the light up sign!

And how. I’ve been building fences for a few years but haven’t encountered this yet. The post in the photo is the closest I can get without hitting roots. Do I attach to the tree? What would yall do?

UPDATE: I’m just building a gate without hinges as the final panel… see my photo comment

This isn’t a long stretch of chain link (23 feet including gate) but as you can see, posts are inside the concrete wall. Customer wants chain link again and posts need replacing because they are almost completely rusted through. I’m considering demoing the wall around the posts and repouring it. Is there a better way?

Hello all. I’ve been building “traditional” wood fences (4x4 post sunk into concrete) for a few years, but just got a potential customer requesting a two-rail fence. I am in Missouri, so my frost line is 18-24”, but these posts are only giving me around 12” of room to play with. Do I just dig a hole and pack them in or what? Never have I ever built one of these before
