Pretty much the title. I posted here about a month ago, having trouble getting RA to work on my RG Slide after it worked flawlessly on my RG Rotate and AYN Thor Pro, the only difference being a lack of SD card on my Slide but no matter what I did, RA wouldn’t run my GBA games from the internal storage.

Well today, I decided to try using the SD card from my RG Rotate in my Slide, redownloaded RA and everything worked with zero issues… so my question here is: Can RA only work if the games are rooted in an SD card?

More looking for second opinions but currently, I have 3 Android handhelds: RG Rotate for GBA, GC and some PSP, RG Slide for GameCube, Wii and PSP and finally, my AYN Thor Pro (mostly) for 3DS, NDS, Steam indie games and Switch 1.

Recently, I decided to fire up my modded 3DS and actually install my NDS games on there which I’m extremely happy with now (should’ve just learned how to do that in the first place but you live and learn) and have decided to make my 3DS my bespoke dual screen device instead of my Thor but it leaves me with a bit of a dilemma. The whole point of me getting the Thor in the first place, aside from being able to play different consoles in one device, WAS for the dual screen but these days, I really only play single screen games on it like my Switch and Steam games and have the second screen turned off 99.8% of the time.

I’m now seriously considering selling my Thor (along with the accessories I collected along the way) and putting the money into a single screen device that will be for my Steam and Switch games since my other handhelds can handle my retro games so I’m really looking for recommendations on a good replacement device or if it’s even a good idea to do it. I should mention that I’ve had my Thor since October 2025 (batch 1), stock OS and it’s been cared for/babied by me since so if I did commit to selling, along with the accessories (not my SD card), I can probably make back what I paid if not more. Any advice would be appreciated!

I just got my RG Slide and I’m getting to setting up RA with my GBA games and there’s a not only read errors (ie. It’s not loading at all and says that it can’t read the zip files) and it’s not loading the cores (mGBA) despite it being downloaded and CLEARLY saying it’s downloaded when I go down the core list and it’s updated.

Everything in the app and cores is updated, downloaded FROM THE SITE ITSELF (I’ve tried both Nightly and Stable and they’re both having the exact same issue) so not an corrupted download issue, I have RA setup on two different Android handhelds (RG Rotate and AYN Thor) with the EXACT same game files and they work fine with no issues and none of the files needing to be unzipped for those. The only difference between this device and those is that it’s not in a SD card like others (the ones I have currently are acting up).

If I’m being stupid then I’ll accept that but please tell what’s going on, what am I doing wrong here? I’ve been scrolling through Google for a solution and haven’t had any luck.

I’ll try to keep this short but my family (My mom, stepdad and me) all have iPhones but I’ve gotten it into my head that I no longer want to be in the Apple ecosystem (still have an iPad for drawing and iPod touch for music but that’s it) and since my parents’ phones are acting up, I figured it could be a good idea for all of us to switch.

I’m interested in the Titan 2 for myself, the Titan slim for my mom and the Jellystar 2 for my stepdad… Is this a good time to get into Unihertz or should I look into a different company? I only ask because I’ve been seeing the grumblings here about the customer service being subpar and the lack of security rollouts for the Jellystar phones so I just wanted to get some secondary opinions as I research.

Hello! F29, I’ve been recently going back and forth from NY to Montreal and I’ll be heading back to Downtown Montreal in August for my big 30th for about 4-5 days then again in November for a month and a half. I really want to make some great pals before I head back as I have some acquaintances there from the first time I went.

My hobbies include art, video games, thrifting, music, anime/manga, museums, walking around, trying new food, musicals and old movies! I have more but I don’t want to make this too long 🫠 I’m also LGBTQ so definitely would love to make more queer friends but I’m open to everyone! Hello! So to make a long post short, I first visited Downtown Montreal near St. Catherine for two weeks a few months back and I fell in love with the city so much that I even made a few acquaintances there already and even have a nail tech there!

I’ll be going back and forth a few more times and most likely will be looking into language study there while I stay for a few months so I’m very excited!!
