I’m currently working on a cover of “Santa fe” from newsies. I have a lot of trouble with the high note at the end and I’m curious if anybody has any tips on how to hit it? Any tips are appreciated!
I live in Sandy. I really want to catch a grayling but would like a drive under 40 minutes. I’m willing to like preferably around 2 miles one way or less. Any lake ideas (and tips for said lake?)
Csught this beautiful Yellowstone cutthroat x golden trout hybrid a few bags back in the Beartooth mountains. Caught three on the trip in total across 2 different lakes.
Hello all! In about a week or so, I’m heading out to a big reservoir near me called “Blackfoot reservoir” in southeast Idaho. I’ve seen reports of 20-30+ pound fish in there and in very excited for my trip. I’ve tied up a few different crawfish patterns, wooly buggers, carp crack, worms, and a mop fly (made with a material that wasn’t a mop because I don’t really have one that I can take from.) does anybody have any ideas on what I should use or other flies that would work? I’m gonna be in shallow bays trying to sight fish them and if that doesn’t work I’ll likely blind cast. Foraged include tons of bugs, leeches, and crawfish.
Was out at newton reservoir in northern Utah. Walking on the bank, and in a little bundle of trees kept hearing this hissing sound (which is made louder in the video) and then randomly heard this screech like the souls of the damned. To my knowledge animals around here include very occasional moose, bunch of different random birds, great horned owls, maybe barn owls, deer, coyotes, badgers, and just general plains species. What is this?
Anybody got tips for night fishing for them? I’m heading out for a new moon tonight and I’m gonna do an all nighter fishing for them until sunup. I know black and loud is big, but does anybody have any other tips? Going to be from shore.
Only ever caught one, not on the fly. These are the three main flies I have tied. Bottom one is 10”, firetiger middle one is 8”, pink and blue top one is 11”. Any suggestions or ideas?
Edit: these will be used in northern Utah
Using them in Utah. Will they catch? Bottom one is 10”, middle is 8”, top is about 11”
In the last little bit of summer, I believe late June or early August, I’m going to be heading up to lake st. Clair in search of a musky. I’m likely going to be, for the most part, fishing from shore on only the Michigan side. What lures and lure colors should I use up there?
Hey everybody! So I’m going to bear lake in about a week, and I’m trying to get on at least one laker or big cutthroat. I’m gonna be from shore for most of it but we’re going to have waverunners so i can also jig/troll from. Any tips? I appreciate any advice! (Picture for attention, title card for a video I’m making off of this)
Great way to kick off the summer, right? Also my second ever fish on a fly rod.
So about a year ago exactly, a lake near me was stocked with 3 inch Kokanee. Apparently they should be around 9-12 inches long now. The lake is “Devils creek reservoir” in far southern Idaho. Would this work? Hooks tipped with canned sweet corn.
