Need help Starting OMAD tomorrow as an Indian college freshman.

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all doing well!

I’m 20F, around 106–108 kg (I weighed myself about a week ago and was 106 kg), and I’ve just started college. I’m trying to lose weight and was thinking of starting OMAD from tomorrow.

I’d really appreciate some advice, especially from people who have experience with OMAD or weight loss!

My main issue is that I have a very long commute—around 4 hours a day—and I also end up walking quite a lot during my commute. By the time I get home, I don’t have much time or energy left for workouts, so I was considering OMAD as a way to manage my calorie intake.

I tried intermittent fasting about 3–4 years ago when I was still a teenager, but I honestly don’t remember whether it helped me lose weight or not. I’m also not sure if OMAD is actually a good idea for me or if there’s a better approach I should consider.

I’m also a vegetarian and from an Indian household, so I’d love some suggestions for what I could eat as my main meal. Ideally, I’d like something that is high in protein, filling, nutritious, and practical with Indian vegetarian food.

Also, if you have any tips for losing weight while managing a long college commute, I’d really appreciate them!

Thank you! ❤️

Will I be forced to pay fees for a year I didn't attend? Need advice on DU admission cancellation

Hi everyone, I need some help. I took admission in a DU college in 2024-25 and attended classes. However, due to mental health issues, I could not attend the 2025-26 session at all. I did not pay any fees or fill any forms for the second year.

Now, I have cleared CUET 2026 and filled out my CSAS preferences for a fresh start in another DU college. I am worried if my status is still "active" in the DU system and if I will be forced to pay the 2025-26 fees to get my "No Dues" or transfer documents. Will this cause a "Dual Enrollment" error during my new admission? Any advice on how to handle this and speak to the college office would be a huge help.

Is a ₹50 burger inside the Delhi Metro really an "elite luxury" now, or am I missing something?

Guys, there was a post in r/DelhiMetro sub about favorite food stalls, where one specific commenter genuinely blew my mind. This user was aggressively arguing that these stalls are completely overpriced and not meant for the "aam janta" because a burger costs around ₹50 and a vada pav is ₹30. When people pointed out that you can literally get a proper meal or combo deals for ₹70-80 at outlets like Jumboking or Burger King, this user doubled down claiming that "true Bharat" is way poorer. They even went ahead to say that the audience on Reddit and Instagram doesn't represent real "Bharat" because everyone here is rich and completely out of touch with reality.

Honestly, this just feels like a classic case of confusing the lower-income group with the middle class. I consider myself middle class, and spending ₹30 to ₹99 for a clean, hygienic snack inside a high-rent commercial metro station during an exhausting daily commute is completely normal. These outlets pay massive commercial rents, electricity bills, and licensing fees to the DMRC, so expecting local street-vendor prices inside a modern transit hub is just delusional. There is absolutely no shame in being on a tight budget, but playing the victim card and calling ordinary metro commuters "elite" just because they can afford a ₹50 burger is wild. If it doesn't fit your budget, you can easily carry a tiffin or eat at home, but gatekeeping the entire middle class and acting like Reddit is only for millionaires makes no sense. Am I wrong here? What do you guys have to say about this? Is ₹30-50 for metro food actually expensive for the middle class, or is this just extreme over-exaggeration?

It's so Embarrassing to stay at your friend's house, isn't it?

Chalo yarr 1-2 din ka samjh aata hai even a week is understandable! Lekin dusro ke tukdo mai palne me sharam nhi aati kya ?? Aur vo bhi ase log jinko bas thode time se jaante ho !! I mean obviously vo bas uske convenience ke hisaab se dost banati hai and the other person too !! Matlab yarr mujhe mere freinds se 10rs ka favour lene mai hi itni sharam aati hai and logo itne mahino mahino asa kaise kar sakte hai ??
