My impression on Beam ultra+apple tv, Switched from HomePod
First of all, let me say what a nightmare the HomePod was. HomePods sound great, but the glitches are terrible: constant connectivity losses and eARC disconnects every week. Every update Apple makes makes it worse, and I just lost my HomePod to the ghost touch issue that affects millions of users worldwide because Apple used a faulty panel in a $400 device.
Since I was so used to the HomePod, I bought two or three soundbars and used them for a week, but that punch the HomePod had wasn't there. I didn't enjoy watching TV anymore, so I ended up returning them.
While casually browsing the Sonos site, I saw the Beam Ultra pre-order. I looked at the specs and ordered it.
Let me tell you, this thing is a beast. Movies and music pack so much punch, the dialogue is clean, and it sounds pretty much identical to the HomePod, though the HomePod still sounded different somehow. The Sonos app is great, but the user experience could be better. The unboxing experience is Apple-level. Overall, I am keeping this, and screw Apple for ruining a $400 speaker.
And what is the height-level setting should be ? Currently at 2
