Was House on drugs before his leg?

I’m rewatching the series for the second time, and I’m currently on S1 Ep21. In this episode, House gives a lecture and uses himself and his leg infarction as an example for a case.

Whenever we find out he’s talking about himself, it seems obvious. But before then, whenever he’s just talking about a “random” patient, the patient in question goes to the clinic with drug-seeking behaviour and self-injects painkillers.

It’s then later revealed that he’s talking about himself.

So my question is, does this imply that House was addicted to painkillers even before his leg was crippled? Or was it just an example that turned into himself?

Is the gender of your internal voice correlated with your IRL gender?

So I know everyone or most everyone has a voice in their head. Specifically, the voice you use to read with; but also, the voice that “thinks”.

My internal voice is like a geeky man’s voice, and I consider myself gender fluid / gender nonbinary, but I am AFAB.

I’m really curious if there might be a correlation between the two, and if anyone else has experienced having an internal voice that is different than your gender? And what the general consensus might be based on everyone’s answers - - if we think the voice is correlated or not.

Also, has anyone’s internal voice changed? (ie, sounded younger when you were younger, or changed from a woman’s voice to a man’s voice as you got older, etc)

Seeking simple-ish recipes for a beginner with these ingredients from our Asian market!

Hello everyone, I’m slowly learning to cook. I have a pretty varied diet but I LOVE Asian, Thai, Chinese, and Italian dishes most. I’ll be house sitting for 10 days or so and am wanting to focus hard on learning new recipes and trying new dishes during this time!

I have a few ideas in mind (I tend to experiment a lot randomly without following a recipe 😅) but I’d love to know if anyone has any must-make recipes for meals that can be made with the ingredients I’ve picked up.

I just went grocery shopping and I picked up Tofu, Bok Choy, Spam, Sticky Rice, a thousand kinds of noodles, rice cakes, enoki mushrooms, spring roll wrappers, frozen dumplings, eggs, frozen peas, green onions, miso soup base, and a plethora of seasonings and other ingredients (including soy sauce, mirin, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sweet chili sauce, peanut butter, fresh ginger, kewpie mayonnaise, and chicken bouillon) I also have an insane amount of Kale growing right now. I also have basic ingredients like milk, salt, cheese, and butter.

I can also make an order at Walmart if I need anything extra, and I’m thinking on getting imitation crab and maybe some fresh salmon 😋

I’ve never cooked with tofu or enoki mushrooms before, so I’d love some ideas! I’d love to try hot pot, soups, anything topped on rice or fried crispy 😁 even sushi or cold dishes, I’m open to anything!

Any free brush packs for “low quality” art? 😭

My goal is to make my art look like it was drawn in MS Paint! I downloaded a free sample of an MS Paint brush pack to draw these, but my problem is that I have to downsize the canvas soooo much to make it look pixelated that 1) I lose a lot of details, and 2) whenever I save it to my phone, it looks super blurry. I usually work with a screen size canvas ( 2360 x 1640 ) or bigger, but I had to downsize to 454 x 281 for these which just feels hard to work with.

Specifically I’m seeking a brush that appears pixelated but is big enough I can use it on a large canvas! It must be free because I’m on a budget. I’m also happy to make one myself (I tried and failed already 😭) so if anyone has any tips or tutorials for making a brush like this, I’d love to know!

Thanks in advance 💗

Can I get identifications on my new batch?

I’m still a huge newbie when it comes to identifying them, I believe the first one is a Peltier but I’m at a loss for the rest! Thanks!

I drew him again while trying to use everyone’s advice!

Last time I got lots of advice about focusing on values, making the skin less shiny, and I also had been told to lean more into my “painted” style. My new drawing isn’t perfect, but I feel like it’s definitely a big improvement and looks way more natural!
