how to get baked on grease off without ruining stainless steel?

okay so i completely neglected my weber genesis all season and now it looks like an absolute disaster zone. i left it uncovered during a few storms and obviously cooked on it a bunch without scraping it down properly afterwards.

now ive got huge carbon buildups on the flavorizer bars and thick grease pretty much everywhere inside the firebox. ive tried the standard degreasers from lowes and let them sit for a while, but its really not making a dent in the hard baked on stuff.

im terrified of using anything too abrasive like a wire wheel or heavy duty scraper because i really don't want to permanently scratch the stainless steel finish or ruin the grates. but the soft sponges and nylon brushes are completely useless right now.

is there some secret trick or specific chemical im missing here, or do i just need to accept my fate and scrub harder for the next three hours? would love to hear what actually works for the extreme neglect cases before i just give up and buy new internal parts.

Avata360 over palm huts

Got one pack in right after breakfast, before the resort garden path had people on it. I'm only a few weeks into FPV, so this was a slow crawl with the Avata360. From the walkway the two thatched huts looked like nothing, but once I got the drone up level with the palm tops I could tell there was something there. Slow left drift, kept it steady, landed. Reframed the 360 footage after and that's when the two roofs actually lined up. Trimmed the start and landing, 14 seconds total, one take.

Experiment as a part-time vtuber: 120 videos, $40-120 revenue, real numbers

I’ve been using talking avatar tech to run a VTuber channel recently. Here are my real costs and early results.
I use DomoAI (Standard plan, around $19.59 per month, billed yearly). It gives about 1500 credits per month. Depending on how many times I generate and redo things, I can make around 200 to 300 short videos.
Total cost is about $20–30 per month. On top of that, captions and some light editing tools cost another $5–10 per month.
The workflow is simple: make short videos, upload different versions, then see which hook works best on Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.
After about one month:
About 80–120 videos uploaded
Average views per video: 300–3000
A few videos passed 10,000 views
Estimated total income: $40–120
Basically close to break even, but not really profitable yet.
The biggest lesson for me is: just test, test, test. Sometimes it’s not about the avatar quality at all, but more about the hook and the topic of the video.

10kg haul just landed in France

I decided to go with GTBuy, they are the cheapest agent I have used so far.

The package was about 10kg and I paid 82eur to ship it.

It took 15 days to arrive to my house.

My stats: 80kg, 182cm

Chrome Hearts Long Sleeve: Quality is really good. The chest graphic is well printed and the CH branding on the sleeve looks good. Fabric has a decent weight to it. There are some small flaws if you look closely, the graphic on the back is not as sharp as it should be but nothing you would notice when wearing it. Fits true to size.

https://weidian.com/item.html?itemID=7706411280

Represent Sweatshirt: Really happy with this one. Fabric is thick and heavy. The R embroidery on the chest is clean, correct font and sits in the right spot. Fit is boxy and oversized as it should be. No complaints, great piece for the price.

https://weidian.com/item.html?itemID=7268719940

Acne Studios Stockholm 1996 Tee: The print on the chest looks accurate, correct font and spacing. Fabric is soft and the tag looks good. Fits a bit oversized which is how Acne tees usually fit. Not much else to say, it is a pretty basic tee

https://weidian.com/item.html?itemID=7497553945

Fear of God sweats: This are okay. Fabric feels good, not the cheap thin stuff. The Essentials print is in the right spot. Fit is a bit loose. pretty basic overall

https://weidian.com/item.html?itemID=7445151860

Balenciaga Baseball Cap: The Balenciaga embroidery on the front is accurate and sits in the right place. Cap holds its shape well. The back adjuster hardware feels quite cheap though and does not look great up close. Also not sure if the sizing is accurate to retail

Link is dead

Nike x Supreme Leather Jacket: Best piece in this haul. Black leather look material with white details, the build quality is really good. The big Swoosh on the back looks great. The We The Forever text on the front is accurate and the Supreme tag looks good. Snap buttons all work fine. This one gets a lot of attention.

https://weidian.com/item.html?itemID=7263520171

Stussy Hoodie: One of my favourites from this haul. The grey fabric is thick and cozy, the weight feels right. The stussy print on the front is spot on, correct font and spacing. The SS logo on the back is clean. Highly recommend this one.

https://weidian.com/item.html?itemID=7392415537

Stussy Desert Camo Long Sleeve: The camo print looks accurate, correct pattern and colours. The Stussy embroidery on the chest is fine, no loose threads. The fit is boxy and a bit cropped. Only issue is the fabric feels a bit thin for the price, would have expected a bit more. Still a good piece but just keep that in mind.

https://weidian.com/item.html?itemID=7574480060

On Running: Decent quality but there are some flaws. The sole cutouts look right and the On logo on the tongue is accurate. The yellow laces are a nice touch. The upper material feels a bit off compared to retail, it lacks that quality feel. They fit true to size and look good from a distance but I would not say they are one of the better reps out there.

My teenage son stopped asking for rides everywhere after I got him his

My fifteen year old son has always been the kid who needed a ride everywhere. School, friends' houses, the mall, practice, you name it. I was basically his personal Uber driver, and it was exhausting.

He'd been asking for his own transportation for over a year. First he wanted a car, which was obviously not happening. Then he asked for a motorcycle, which was an even harder no. We were at a standstill.

Then a coworker mentioned his daughter had been using an electric bike to get around town, and it gave me an idea. It was safer than a motorcycle, more practical than a car for a teenager, and would actually give my son the independence he was craving.

I started researching options and found a Honda electric bike on Alibaba at a price I could actually manage. I showed my son pictures and specs, and for the first time in months, we actually agreed on something.

When it arrived, he wasn't just excited about the bike itself. He was excited about freedom, about not having to rely on me for every single trip.

Now he rides it to school, to his part time job, to hang out with friends. My phone isn't constantly buzzing with can you pick me up texts anymore.

I got my life back, and he got his independence.

Meal prep always starts organized… and ends like this

Every Sunday, I tell myself I’m finally going to get serious about meal prep. I picture everything going smoothly, containers lined up, ingredients ready, maybe some music playing in the background. For about the first 20 minutes, it actually looks like it’s working, then suddenly everything goes to shit. One time I was chopping vegetables while cooking rice, and that’s when I realized half my containers for food storage didn’t even have their lids on. I had them stacked using those little plastic belts & bands, the type that usually come with some food packages from Alibaba or Amazon, just to keep everything from spilling out in the cabinet.

Not exactly a proper kitchen system, but it works, kind of. While I was waiting on the rice, I heard a knock on the door, it was a package I had ordered that took almost forever to arrive. I had a little back-and-forth exchange with the delivery guy. Meanwhile the stove timer was already off and I almost forgot the rice. In the end, the food was done, but the chaos in the kitchen was on a whole new level😅. Does anyone else start with a perfect plan and end up winging it halfway through? Or is this just my weekly routine now? I guess this adulting thing isn’t as beautiful as they make it look.

Found a unique gift idea: A magnetic watch that snaps on in seconds.

I recently got a gift that immediately made me curious. It was a magnetic watch. Instead of a normal buckle, the strap uses magnets. That made it much easier to put on and take off, especially when I was in a hurry. I had never seen a watch like that before, which is surprising for me, because I collect watches. If you opened my wardrobe, you would see two full shelves of watches.

Naturally, I wanted to know where my friend found it. After a bit of gentle questioning, she admitted she ordered it online. I guessed correctly that Alibaba was involved, since it has been her go‑to platform for simple, stress‑free shopping. She places the order, waits for delivery, and then enjoys the item without much fuss.

What really stood out to me about the magnetic watch was how practical it felt, not just stylish. There is no fumbling with clasps or buckles. The magnet snaps together smoothly, and it stays secure. It felt like a small design change, but one that solved a real everyday problem.

Thinking ahead, I realized this could also be a great item for an upcoming men‑only party at work. We plan to give a few interesting gifts, and a magnetic watch feels rare enough to be special. It is not something you come across every day, and that makes it hard to grab elsewhere.
If you want something unique, useful, and easy to wear, magnetic watches are worth a closer look.

I finally had enough of the sketchy apartment complexes at night

I have been doing food delivery for about two years now and mostly it is just boring. You spend a lot of time sitting in your car or waiting for fries to be bagged. But lately I have been getting sent to these huge complexes on the edge of town where half the streetlights are out and the building numbers might as well be invisible. It is pretty unnerving walking through dark corridors with a bag of Thai food while wondering if you are even in the right place. I started getting a bit paranoid after a stray dog chased me back to my car last week. I spent a few nights looking at different ways drivers try to feel a little more secure during those late shifts. Better flashlights, personal alarms, even self-defense gear. I briefly looked at some compact taser options on Amazon and Alibaba. Thought of ordering a pink one just for the irony but decided that wasn't the route I wanted to go. I ended up buying a small canister of pepper spray that clips onto my keychain. The funny thing is that now that I have it I feel even more awkward. I walked up to a door yesterday and accidentally had the spray in my hand because I was nervous, the customer opened the door and just looked at my hand and then at his pizza. He asked me if the pepperoni was that dangerous. I felt like such an idiot trying to hide it behind my back while fumbling for his change. I want to feel safe but I also don't want to look like I am expecting a fight every time I deliver a burrito. It is a weird balance to strike when you are working alone in the dark. Does anyone else carry something for peace of mind or am I just overthinking the risks of the job? I think I might just stick to better flashlights from now on.

I visited a sewing accessories store to ask about plastic and metal buttons two days ago. I wanted something durable because buttons are used daily on shirts jackets and bags. I also wanted to understand which type customers trust more before spending money on larger sewing projects. But when I checked the products there I felt confused. Some metal buttons looked premium and strong but the prices were much higher than expected. Some plastic buttons looked affordable and lightweight but customer reviews mentioned cracking and fading after regular washing. Some sellers kept saying their buttons are long lasting and perfect for clothing but every product sounded almost the same. I could not trust them. I could not decide confidently.

Then I visited another supplier in the same area. Some companies explained the differences better and showed stainless steel brass resin and polyester button options for different clothing styles. Some products focused on durability and scratch resistance while others focused on lightweight comfort and lower cost. Some still gave mixed answers when I asked about washing performance and long-term appearance. I remembered one time when I used cheaper plastic buttons because the deal looked attractive but later some buttons cracked after repeated use. That experience still stays in my mind. That made me worry again.

To check more variety and options while scrolling many online platforms including alibaba I found many customer reviews comparing plastic and metal buttons for clothing projects. Some products looked affordable but risky for long-term durability. Some looked expensive but more trusted for premium fashion and stronger quality. This made me excited but also confused again.

Orders have picked up a bit lately, which is great, but shipping is quickly turning into the most stressful part of the whole process. Labels, tracking, rates, missed updates, it’s starting to feel like too many moving parts. I’ve been looking into the best shipping software for ecommerce, but a lot of them sound good on paper and I’m not sure what holds up when you’re dealing with orders every day.

If you’re using something that’s made shipping easier, what is it and what changed for you after switching? Did it save time or just add another tool to manage?
