Stacking the 50% Dashpash offer + $10 monthly discount

Heads up. Doordash has a 50% off non-restaurant discount that ends 7/5, applies up to $25. I just stacked it with my $10 monthly benefit to reload on protein bars from Target. I ordered enough to eliminate all fees except tip, and paid $41.56 total for product that costs $60 on sale at Walmart and it gets dropped at my door.

Points Redemption Brag

I just used the Marriott 55% transfer bonus to get a $587 room for 27,000 points. That’s 2.17 cpp.

Deets: Had 1,500 points already from linking my Marriott and Uber. Then transferred 27,000 - > 41,850. Used that to book a room for 43,000 pts.

This is my first hotel transfer redemption.

Think I did pretty good. 😊

Transfer an ecredit name

Situation:
P2 has the $200 ecredit from their Delta Amex gold card that we need to burn so he can downgrade to no AF card. I would like to combine this with a flight ecredit that I have onto one ticket for me.

If I book a ticket (main cabin) for P1 from P2s account to consume this $200 and then cancel the ticket, I should get a new ecredit in P1’s name. That would effectively allow me to pool both credits onto one ticket.

Can anyone confirm if this does / does not work?

All upgrades cleared from PHL

The rare flight from a hub where everyone got upgraded.

At about T-96, FC inventory went from 17 - 13.
At about T-25, FC went from 13 - 9 (MCE occupied reduced by 4).

When I checked in (around T-22, there were only 3 available FC seats and MCE reduced by 2. Unclear how many were upsells at check in but I would guess a few more complimentary in this wave.

I was in the T -25 wave (platinum with ~ 100k rolling LPs)

Paid upgrade offer was $270 throughout for my BE ticket (bought before rule change).

Thought it was interesting dp to share. AA didn’t try to monetize the empty FC cabin very hard.

Shopping portal for VRBO

Anybody got a DP on when miles / LPs from VRBO stays typically post? I’m curious for the activity date - is that when the stay starts like hotels? Or is it tied to the backend? I’ve just booked a stay for December and wondering if those LPs are gonna get credited by end of Feb. They should, yes? Also want to time my 25% boost to them, so I don’t want to activate it too early but also not too late to catch other things.

Thoughts on Podium Sports Travel?

I booked hotel room through them in Seattle for world cup and I am pretty nonplussed.

To start with, I asked them if they could secure a 3rd room on the front end of the 2 nights on the group rate and was told to book directly with hotel. So excuse me, are you not a travel agency?

They charged an outrageous price as a group rate and based on communications received it seems they are punting everything through the Fifa Accommodations bureau. After receiving very little information about the reservation beyond just the dates, name of hotel, and number of beds (which by the way, isn’t guaranteed), I called the hotel myself to confirm what was reserved. Hotel tells me it is a room with 2 queens but only for one person. But I asked for 2 people!! Hotel can’t change it of course, so keeping my fingers crossed we still get the 2 beds. I did get a confirmation number, thankfully, but it’s unclear if I’ll be able to link it to the other reservation because unfortunately that one was reserved in my friend’s name.

Now perhaps it’s FIFA who has screwed up here but I’m unhappy with the service provided.

Just curious other’s experience.

PSA: The 3x promo with IHG does NOT earn 3x LPs

Most of the time, when promos are for bonus miles, the promo clearly states “bonus miles” prominently, but AA was quite deceptive with this one. It says 3X miles repeatedly, which makes you think it is 3x base miles. (esp since AA dining is 3x miles AND 3x LPs). However, somewhere buried in the fine print it says “eligible members who complete a promotion qualifying stay during the promotion period will earn 3x miles…this means the total number of regular “base miles” and promotional “bonus miles” combined will equal three times the number of base miles the eligible members would normally receive”. When it posted I got one post for the base miles that included LP, and a second for the promo that was 2x the base miles which coded as bonus miles only.

Dirty pool AA.

Loews Hotel Philadelphia has disappeared from travel portal

Sayonora to a sweet spot Edit booking, I guess.
This was the most affordable Edit hotel in Philly and now I don’t see it in the portal at all. Anybody know what gives?

Chase Lounge in PHL is the bomb

My first visit this morning and it’s definitely worth the hype. This aline is justifying the annual fee as far as I’m concerned.

Weird situation. I noticed the past 2 days I’ve received points (both miles and LP) in error from Miles for Opinions. On April 30 in my Survey History I was credited with completing 4 surveys, and I only remember doing 1 that completed and 1 that got an error. I thought maybe I just forgot doing some or some weird glitch happened. Then this morning I see that on May 1 in my Survey History I was credited with 55 points (which I def remember), but it was posted to my LP account as 104 points.

I don’t want to contact them over free miles they are giving me in error but it’s def strange. Wonder if they will correct it later. Anyone else ever have this happen?
