Anyone take Modafinil twice a day?

I'm wondering at what times you take your first and second doses. I messaged my doc and she only told me that I should take my second dose at 1 pm but not how early I needed to take my first dose nor how much time should elapse between doses. What do you do?

Should I be worried/concerned?

I have a Teams meeting tomorrow morning for a contract position and apparently there's no job description. I asked for it and the recruiter advised that because it was a contract position there wasn't one. My first reaction is what the hell. Now I'm wondering is it because they don't want to share the company's name. I went to the staffing agency's website and the job isn't listed there nor are any jobs. The recruiter messaged me on LinkedIn today. Is it me or is this just weird and suspicious? Anyone else run into a situation like this?

Might be a weird question

Does your head worse when you're combing or brushing out your hair? I've had a migraine off and on today and before I was going to take a shower I combed out my hair. It was really tangled because it's thick and wavy and now my head feels worse. I'm waiting for it to feel a little better so I can shower. In the past when I've taken showers with my migraine it made me feel worse. Has anyone/does anyone have their migraine gotten worse because of working on your hair? Sorry I'm repeating myself.

Any insight into this

Why am I seeing that a company has viewed my application and downloaded my resume on LinkedIn but then I don't hear from them? Better candidates come along? Anyone else experience this? It's so disappointing and disheartening.

Bonnet for a big head

I unfortunately have a big head and thicker hair so I have a hard time with hats, caps, helmets, and bonnets. Does anyone know of a bonnet that will accommodate a larger head with a lot of hair?

Current routine

  1. Shampoo Davines for curly hair ( can't remember the name)
  2. Davines smoothing conditioner
  3. Microfiber towel for 15 minutes then spray in 7 Second Detangler
  4. Spray in Curl Smith Effortless Waves, comb through with fingers and then scrunch
  5. I use a silk or satin pillowcase

TIA!!

Don't know what to wear

I've been wearing nice blouses for Zoom and Teams job interviews and they all have a pattern. From what I've read online I should be wearing a solid color blouse with a collar and a blazer would be good too. I run really hot and even more so when I'm nervous and anxious so wearing a blazer is out of the question. I tried for one interview and sweat more than I normally do. Not good at all. I'm trying to wear shirts that I'd wear to work so more business than casual and that have black as part of the background/pattern (my thinking is that the black makes it a little more dressed up). I really don't have any solid color blouses and really wonder if it's totally necessary. What are you wearing for your virtual interviews? Any suggestions for me (please be kind)? Anywhere I can get pretty solid color blouses with collars? TIA!!

Rant - What happened to common courtesy?

I interviewed for a job on 6/26/26 and the guy told me I'd have heard from him by now. I emailed him on Tuesday to follow up and am still waiting to hear from him. He isn't the first person to not respond to a follow up email or get back to me when they said they would. I'm so sick of the lack of courtesy and professionalism. How do you deal with this and remain positive?

Looking for

Does anyone know of something that's more like a headband that you can freeze or put in the fridge? Something besides the Be Kool (or other cooling sheets) but not a migraine cap. I have a cap and the last time I used it (fairly recently) it felt like it made my head hurt worse. Not because of the cold but like too much pressure or tightness over my head - I hope that makes sense. I was thinking that something that went on your forehead and around the back of your head would be better. TIA!!

Am I reading too much into this or was it some sort sign or something?

I finished reading a book on my Kindle and I got standard email afterwards suggesting other books and reviews from people/people you know who've read it or are reading it. My aunt that passed away in December 2020 came up as currently reading it. I wasn't super close to her but she is/was definitely my favorite aunt. Wondering if it's just a coincidence or maybe something else.

Don't know what to think or do

Please be kind and provide constructive feedback only.

I interviewed for a position on 5/12/26 through a recruiter and was told that I was one of two people they were interested in. Then was told they decided to either go with another company or in another direction (I don't remember exactly).

Friday, a month later the position is posted again. I applied again with a recruiter and I think this company's direct contract organization. I'm getting calls, emails, and LinkedIn messages about this role. I talked to one recruiter on Friday and explained to him everything that happened. He told me that it was good that I applied again through the direct contract website and the recruiters. I have not signed a RTR form.

Should I wait and see what happens with the direct contract company, see if I hear back from the recruiter from Friday (I emailed him this morning to see if there was anything he needed from me in order to move forward), or move on and realize that I was probably lied to about the direct company being interested?

I'm feeling conflicted and not too thrilled with the original recruiter. I really don't know what to think.

Edit: Heard back from the recruiter I talked to on Friday. He advised that they submitted my resume to the organization. They'll recognize my name and now I have to patiently wait (the hardest part).

Anyone switch from Ozempic to Foundayo?

Has anyone switched from injecting Ozempic to taking Foundayo? I've recently upped my dose (per my doctor's instructions) from .5 mg to 1.0 mg and the last 10 days have been bad. First day after injection last week I threw up twice (I never throw up) and I've pretty much had a migraine everyday since. This week I'm trying to use the click method and give myself.5 and then another.5. I'm due for my second dose. The migraines and feeling woozy are killing me. I'm wondering if Foundayo might be a better choice. I read that you take it twice a day a half hour before you eat. Is that before both daily doses? What's your experience been like? Are you glad you switched? Anything else you can tell me? TIA!!

This happened - how do I cope

I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this and how you felt and what you did. I was flying out of the Denver airport yesterday and waiting for the train to take me to my gate. While I'm standing there some guy comes up and stands right in front of me. Am I fucking invisible?! Wearing a size 22-24 I hardly think so. This is not the first time I've experienced something like this and it really pisses me off. Yesterday I just muttered something under my breath, moved, and didn't do anything. I don't like confrontation or conflict nor do I want to cause a scene but situations like this are just so wrong. Probably on the most basic level it hurts my feelings and brings up issues with my self worth. Have you had similar experiences? What did you do/how did you handle it? I want to be able to stand up for myself but I don't think I know how.

I don't know if I can ask this ...

I started my first dose of 1.0 mg last Wednesday and the next day had a migraine where I threw up twice (I rarely get that bad of a migraine) and then the next day even though I hadn't had much to eat I had diarrhea. Now after taking generic Immodium I haven't gone since Friday (not usual for me). Sorry if that's all TMI. Someone suggested that I try doing 1 injection at 0.5 mg then later in the week do another 0.5 mg by counting the clicks. From what I've gathered online it's approximately 34 - 38 clicks. Question - what's your experience with this been and how many days apart did you do the injections? How many clicks did you use? Did this method help you? Please let me know. TIA!!

HRT and migraines - what has your experience been?

My migraines have been getting a lot worse as I've been getting older (I'm in my late 50s). I've definitely noticed a difference over the past 3 years. I'm wondering if the lack of estrogen might be making a difference. What's been your experience? TIA!!

Suggestions & what's been your experience?

I'm feeling very foolish and appreciate your kindness and not judging me. My doc approved upping my dosage from .5 to 1.0 and it took me over 2 weeks from my last .5 injection to pick up the medicine. I did my first 1.0 injection last night and this morning somewhat out of nowhere I threw up. I hadn't been feeling nauseous or anything and I had only really had a kind of breakfast snack not a true breakfast. Not to be gross but last night's dinner came up - sorry if tmi. I'm starting to feel hungry but am afraid to eat and don't know what to eat - I'm at the airport. I was thinking about getting some pretzels or mild crackers and some water or sprite. Have you experienced anything like this? What did you do? Any suggestions. TIA!!

How to cope with mostly day time sleepiness contributing to migraines?

First and foremost please be kind because I know I should be handling things differently as far as my sleep. I'm pretty sure I have obstructive sleep apnea which is causing my day time sleepiness. I've tried a CPAP and BIPAP and hated them. Took them off in the middle of the night, wouldn't move easily with me (I toss and turn), etc., etc. Most of the time I get enough sleep - although it's not common for me to wake up a minimum of 1-2 times. I'm often sleepy during the day and take naps. I've noticed if I nap too much I get migraines. I can fall asleep at the drop of a hat it's bad. I want to break the habit. Anyone else experience this or something similar? What did you do? TIA!!

What do you do when you have a migraine with bad nausea and you're supposed to travel the next morning?

I'm supposed to take a 6 - 6.5 hour road trip tomorrow to attend my nephew's graduation. My migraine came on this afternoon and so far the Eletriptan hasn't kicked in. It's been almost 2 hours so I can take a 2nd dose. I just took some Meclizine for the nausea. I should be packing (yes I'm a bad procrastinator) but feel like I'm going to puke if I move. Husband is suggesting I might want to stay home but I really don't think his family would understand if I didn't go and I really would like to see my niece and nephew. What would you do? Have you had a similar experience? How do I get this stupid migraine to f$&k off.

Ozempic & food noise/cravings return - is it just me?

I've been taking Ozempic off and on (I've had stints with Mounjarno & Trulicity) since December 2023/January 2024. I lost at first 25-30 lbs. but have since gained all or most of it back. For a while I lost my desire to have ice cream every day or every few days for I guess a couple months now I'm back to wanting it all the time. I'm pretty sure I'm thinking about food in general a lot more. The what can I eat now even if I'm not really hungry. I'm only at .5 mg so I was thinking about asking my doctor to up my dose. Has this happened or something similar to anyone else? What did you do? Were you able to get back on the wagon? What's your experience? I appreciate whatever you're willing to share. TIA!!
