I haven’t bought online in forever. Their sizing and quality are all over the place. But I thought that with this last sale, I’d try again. Big mistake. My purchases have been sitting in a FedEx warehouse for 10 days. I’ve reached out multiple times and the excuses make no sense. It’s been almost 3 weeks now. It’s funny that these sale things are “no return”.

Today, less than 1,000 miles, I look down and the entire screen was black! Car kept going, which is good but still… scary

My young Aussie was bitten by a rattlesnake this morning. He tested positive for the venom and as of right now his leg is pretty swollen and they’re giving him a second vial of the anti-venom. He is the love of my life. Please pray for his recovery. He’s going to be at the hospital overnight. But right now I’m here waiting to see him again and they wouldn’t let me in while they’re doing the IV.
UPDATE: he’s out! So he was at the Emergency Vet for about 24 hours. He’s got on a cone, he’s taking gabapentin and he’s needing to be under control for 10-14 days. On Thursday, 3 day, he goes in for a checkup and to do a blood panel to make sure he’s still progressing. I’m supposed to watch out for necrosis, black tissue indicating tissue dying, additional swelling or bleeding. When I went to get him, I don’t think he had gone potty since I visited him yesterday at 3pm. He saw me in the hall and he immediately squatted and peed and pooped an enormous amount. I said, I better get him outside because when they are on drugs, a lot of times the end is diarrhea. I was right and then it was all over his rear. So I had to clean him up in the vet before we drove home. He slept the whole day home.

Help! I’ve started rethinking who should see what on my fb page. Does the “view as” feature still exist and if so, how do you do it? I’m trying to filter for different people and check my handiwork. I can’t even find view as public. This was such a great feature and I feel like it just… went away. Thanks!

My ex is turning 80. He is experiencing multiple issues that the doctors just shrug off and say it’s a part of getting old. Ok. So he’s visiting me this weekend and now, every night around 2am he is up, all the lights on, tv blaring and he yells for me to wake up and come down. wtf. Last night he said, oh, i thought it was 9. I said, the clock is right there on the wall. Look at it next time. Is this “sundowners”? He stays in bed until after 10am. He was never one to do things for himself. He’s bossy, controlling and now condescending and unfiltered. Trying to make the cat do things his way cost me $2,500 in vet bills. I don’t even live there but he expects me to rescue him. His family lives a 4 hour flight away. They just chuckle and say that is just him. Sorry for the vent. The original question: is this sundowners?

My mother was adopted as a newborn and never had any desire to learn her DNA history. She had been told basics and after I did the DNA search, her info was correct. She passed away 12 yrs ago. On Ancestry, I see a couple of people who appear to be related to me through her and I just stare at them in the data trying to decide whether to reach out or not. In the meantime, I have traced my adopted maternal grandmother’s family back to the early 1700’s in Alta California. My mom knew this and had done all this investigation by hand herself 20 yrs ago. So she was right there too. I don’t know if I should go into the people to gave up my mom or not. Maybe not? I’m curious but is it even fair to inquire. Thoughts?
