I've been noticing that Instagram feels a lot different lately.

Even when I post consistently, engagement seems way more unpredictable than it used to be. Some posts barely reach my followers, Stories get fewer views, and it feels like the algorithm changes every other week.

Has Instagram become more of a shopping app than a social app?

I remember opening Instagram to see what friends were up to. Now it feels like every few scrolls I'm seeing ads, sponsored posts, or creators trying to sell something.

Realized Deliverability Was a Bigger Problem Than Copy

Turns out our bigger issue was domain reputation and inbox placement. Some campaigns looked fine on paper, but too many emails were ending up in Promotions or spam.

Is anyone else's Instagram feed mostly recommendations now?

I caught myself recognizing creators I don't even follow because Instagram keeps showing me their posts and Reels.

Meanwhile, I realized I hadn't seen updates from some friends and smaller accounts I intentionally followed until I manually checked their profiles. I'm not saying the recommendations are bad. I've actually found some interesting accounts that way.

Funny how we're trying to make photos look like they came from 2005 again

Something I've noticed lately is how many people are intentionally going for that old digicam aesthetic. Bright flash, slightly imperfect lighting, and that nostalgic early-2000s feel.

It's kind of amusing because we spent years chasing the sharpest cameras possible, and now some of the most interesting posts are trying to recreate the look of old point-and-shoots.

Maybe nostalgia is cyclical, but I'm curious if anyone else has noticed this trend popping up more often.

Anyone else loving the return of that early-2000s camera look?

I've been seeing a lot more photos and Reels lately with that old digital camera vibe—slightly blown-out flash, softer colors, and the kind of look you'd get from a point-and-shoot in the 2000s.

It's funny because years ago everyone wanted everything to look ultra-HD, and now people seem to be embracing the nostalgic aesthetic again.

Maybe it's just the side of Instagram I'm on, but I'm enjoying the trend.

Is anyone else getting tired of constantly updating Instagram?

I feel like every few weeks there's a new feature, a different layout, or some setting that suddenly moved.

By the time I get used to one thing, something else changes. It's not necessarily bad, but it does make the app feel like a moving target sometimes.

Are Older Shows Fully Available on Premium?

I'm trying to decide whether it's worth upgrading my Paramount+ subscription from Essential to Premium.

A lot of what I watch are older shows that I like to revisit every now and then, like Frasier, Cheers, Everybody Loves Raymond, and NCIS. I noticed that Paramount+ mentions that not all seasons may be available on every plan, and I was curious how much of a difference there actually is.

For those with Premium, do you generally get access to complete series for older shows, or are there still gaps in certain seasons?

I'm mainly trying to figure out whether the upgrade makes sense since I mostly watch classic TV rather than newer releases.

Does anyone else spend more time watching Reels than scrolling their feed now?

I realized recently that I barely look at my main feed anymore. Most of the time I open Instagram and immediately end up in Reels or Stories.

Nothing against regular posts, but it feels like my habits have changed without me even noticing. Curious if anyone else uses Instagram completely differently now compared to a couple of years ago.

Anyone else enjoying how much more creative Instagram feels lately?

One thing I've been enjoying recently is how many creators are experimenting with fun formats again. Between Reels, Story prompts, memes, and behind-the-scenes posts, Instagram feels a lot less rigid than it did a few years ago.

I also like that not everything has to be perfectly polished anymore. Some of the most entertaining accounts I follow are just sharing things they genuinely enjoy and having fun with it.

Maybe it's just the side of Instagram I'm on, but it feels like there's a lot more personality on the platform these days. Has anyone else noticed that?
