to be visibly blunt, it’s ugly.

like it’s not “oh my GOD bleach my eyes” ugly, but it’s “who’s the target audience?” type of ugly. like sure, there were MAYBE 3 cute tops i liked and would potentially get once they go on sale, and the jeans were fairly cute, but everything else??? some things just looks so off putting. some designs would’ve been alright if it weren’t for the extra detailing (hibiscus hoodie would have been fine if it was just the beaded flower and nothing more), some cuts of the sweaters/quarter zip/cardigan were… alright? like it was giving “i ran the pta meetings like the navy.” and the sweatpants design were also??? i saw the navy blue cheetah print and i’m pretty sure that was my last straw. genuinely who approved of this drop and what were they on??? they need to listen to their consumers and release what the people want because at no point did i ever hear anyone go “yeah, i think i want a shirt with a big hole above the sternum and strings to make a bow right at the throat” on here OR tiktok. and don’t get me started on the bikinis; granted i don’t wear bikinis since i’m not a fan of swimming nor do i live near water, but they’re just so unappealing. i’ve been consistently buying from most drops (at most 4-6 pieces) but this is just a big no from me for this one

i’ve been fics for years but i’ve never posted them since i tend to abandon ship once things get busy. now im trying to use fanfic writing as an escapism from my real life (c*llege and j*bs 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔) and as motivation i decided to post it on ao3!

the work is called “mask on, mask off,” and my user is stvfqrns. it is a batman fic and follows the plot line of batman 2022 but more fleshed out and the pacing is a bit slower than the movie. i plan to write 2 more pieces after this one and combine other batman media/comics into the storyline, but it’s not fully fleshed out yet. i have an idea on how i want it to go and have already written the ending for this fic, so if you’re interested please lmk how you feel about it! i’m even open to discuss anything over pm :)))

i just wanna say that reading “crazy rich asians” while writing a batcat fanfic has allowed me to really explore both selina and bruce’s styles and my description of the clothes they would wear in my head. with that being said, as a head canon of mine i’ve developed amidst writing is that bruce is a watch collector and alfred loves his suits DOWN. and thank you astrid leong for helping me develop selina’s style!

i’ll post the fic here once i’m done writing it so i can share with everyone and post it to ao3 but let’s hope that happens and i don’t abandon it midway like i do with my other ones…
