Thrift Store 'Setup'
Just wanted to share that you dont have to spend thousands of dollars on a system... I got all that you see here for under $100 at diffeent thrift stores over about 8 months. Perfect is in the eye of the beholder.. and dang it, I'm pretty happy with my success.
FYI, I had (and have) a magnavox console from '68ish that ive had for decades.. so this is my 'modern system'... lol. Pics of the magnavox included.. Last two pics.
Anyway, just putting it out there.. good sound and cool equipment is not out of reach. Just be patient.

New to Laserdisks, i picked up two at a thrift and that started down the rabbit hole of laserdisks and finding a player..
As an aside, I already collect DVDs, Blue Rays, cds, cassette tapes, VHS, and all sorts of vinyl).
Need suggestions on what to look for in LD players and brands that may be better than others...
Also, if you are around Ft. Worth, Texas and are looking to sell a player, please hit me up..
Thanks in advance! Here's one that i picked up.. the other one is a Criterion Collection of '39 Steps' by Hitchcock.
So Ive been collecting records for 30+ years (started at 12ish).. and I'm a sucker for Goodwill or thrift piles of records.. knowing they've been gone through 100 times. I'll buy a record I have no idea what it is or is within...
Anyway, picked up this Hudson-Farnsworth sealed album with the odd sticker on the front. Ive never seen this sticker on a record cover before..
And yes, im going to unseal and play shortly.. records are meant to be listened to and enjoyed.. even though I hav3 no idea as to this band or the records content ....
May not be everyone's cup of tea, but I love em. $.99 each, how could I not.
