Serious Lyonette Ethics question

If Lyonette’s Skill which let her share the Inn’s authority evolved so that she can simply take the Inn and steal all of Erin’s Skills would she? (Just to clarify the Skill changes she can’t keep borrowing she has to either use the Skill and steal all of Erin’s Skills forever or simply not use it)
I know it seems ridiculous but Lyonette has referred to it as her Inn multiple times and has been known to take things that aren’t hers when she believes she is the more responsible party.
If you think she wouldn’t which is fair enough and in line with her Character what do you think would have to change between her and Erin’s relationship for her to use the Skill.

Characters who have a Skill way above their level

What are some characters who have a Skill which is far to power for the level they are at. I will start with the most obvious, Erin’s Box/Vault/Safe… is clearly meant to be a reward for opposing the gods and is presented as probably being on the same level as insane sounding skills such as Door to Helste and Door to earth. I know it’s kinda obvious but I just mentioned it to get it out of the way. The immortal moment might be an even better example actually.

I know it was the two thousands but Jesus Christ surely there was a better way to say that Japanese society isn’t as individualistic as American.

House Byres timeline and a crazy accident.

So as every noble family House Byres was originally from Terandria. We know a few things about its history.
Firstly they fought the Putrid one and his servants presumably in Terandria given that Izril was a continent of Drakes and Gnolls at the time. We know that the House had a Silver dragon at that point. Interestingly enough The Putrid One is killed in Izril by a Dullahan Paladin despite being a Terandrian half elf.
Know House Byres is famous for hunting vampires however the timeline is a bit weird. We aren’t exactly sure where the hunts were conducted. The Bloody night happened before the Creler wars and during the invasion of the five families and continued until after the Creler wars 5700 years ago after the Silver dragon died. Meaning that we know they were not defeated by the Silver dragon but we do know that he fought them.
It’s very likely that the Silver Dragon never moved with House Byers to Izril and instead fought the vampires in Terandria. And only after the Creler wars and the death of the silver dragon did they move on into Izril. Given how when describing the Vampires actions on Izril the attacks on the tribes and Walled cities are mentioned but the five families are not. Meaning that house Byres happened to move next to the tomb of the Putrid one on accident.

The Putrid one and The Silver dragon hated each other and fought one another until the necromancer died prematurely. At which point the Silver dragon went on to die a few thousand years later on Rhir during the Creler wars. However due to The Putrid one getting sneaked attacked and the Silver dragon’s soul being within house Byers the former enemies which fought ten thousand years ago and died thousands of years apart are now accidentally afterlife neighbours against either one’s will.
I just find that sorta funny.

The Waldo Moment

I feel like the biggest problem with this episode is not what it did but what it didn’t do.
It mainly focuses on the comedian on an individual level but unlike Common people it doesn’t really have a horror aspect which scares you for a persons wellbeing.
It also tries to do social commentary but because of how vague it’s being it feels non political when it’s supposed to be political commentary. It talks about the “system” and speaking to the people but in a way that makes it unclear what anybody is campaigning for.

As a person who really liked the OG Gwenpool run should I read Superboy prime [Discussion]

Art by
@binah_q

I am not a super big DC fan but am familiar with the cosmology and the history of the comics. I know that if I wanted to get the full experience of the characters I should read infinite crisis but I feel that older comics are often to cluttered with text. Like I loved the original Animal man run but having to zoom in to read and decipher what happens from panel to panel is tough. At that point I would have just preferred it as a novel. So should I read Superboy prime. If so what run? If not what other character do you recommend?

Level approximation

More specifically the approximate levels of each of the revived ghosts. As we know they each lost 10 levels.
So I will go from the oldest to the youngest.

Loerhin Kallinad was the founder of Roshal. He was also part of the Kallinad family like Will. As with all Lords of Roshal we know he was over level 40 when alive bare minimum. I do think he was over level 60 in life due to being compared to old Torreb while not even having a pure fighting class. Meaning that
Loerhin=50~59
Pazeral lost to Bird and Numbtoung meaning that I doubt he was over level 50 when revived, this would make sense as I do think Jin level slower than humans similar to half giants. Really [Lord of Possession] could be a level 30 class it all depends on how strong Jin are as a species.
Pazeral=30~49
Thatalocian Reevis is a number user who lived during the death of magic he was estimated to be over level 50 by Yadzil and that would fall in line with his ability to gain power on the level of level 50 fighters just by remembering a number.
Thatalocian=50~59
Shaullile lived during the stringflok rebellion which was actually very close to the long night. She is stated to be over level 50
Shaullile=50~59
Nerrhavia was higher level than Azkerash when she was alive. Meaning that she was higher level than 78 when alive and is now over 68. I don’t think she ever reached over 80. In fact I think a large part of the reason she got bored and started the war was because she couldn’t reach the level 80 capstone. This makes sense since she was a leveling lunatic.
Nerrhavia=69
Falamizural was estimated to have the proficiency in magic equal to an Arcmage of the current war with it not even being her specialty at all.
Falamizural=50~59
Corregrione is stated to be equal to Falamizural in levels
Corregrione=50~59
Astival’s level is directly stated
Astival=45
Dying at the start of the Creler wars Andra when revived had a very impressive class and skills. Given that she lived before the Creler wars and led a major world power for a long time unlike Pazeral who died young I would guess that.
Andra Meitolo=50~59

What character is the most similar to an OC?

I mean an overly edgy character or one that just doesn’t fit the tone of the series. And is shoehorned in and makes the whole story about them. Flos comes in as an obvious example but I do also feel like Tserre is a sleeper pick. Appears later on, is connected to the two most important half elf’s in the story. Has a clear motivation which will make her meet the main characters. Is high level but has a mystery class she hides. Has chickens which are actually something even Silvenia fears. This is OC behaviour given that cute animals which are actually scary is a trope which is very popular online.

The give and take of the Wandering Inn

You know once you think about it the people that go into the Wandering Inn almost always end up helping it much more than they get from it.

Erin has said at the start of Volume 10 that the Inn has to many depts but really they always has them.

I think the worst example are the adventurers. Through volume 1-9 they are consistently the corner stone of the inn that keeps it safe. Many died and what they got in return was hospitality and Erin’s regret.

If you step away from the emotional side of things and you think like a crooked merchant. Erin uses, discards, and collects powerful people so well that even the worst slavers of Roshal would be impressed.

Really Lyonette? 10.14

Maybe to help Ryoka? Lyonette had sent an urgent request to talk to Ryoka, but she was guarded by the Forgotten Wing at the moment, and the theatre couldn’t instantly reach her. Besides…it was Lyonette’s damn wand. Well, Ryoka’s, but it was her problem to solve!”

What problem? Ask Hedault or just give it away.
She wants the children to believe that she doesn’t want to invite more trouble but in reality she just wants the wand.
The whole arc with Lyonette keeping it has never made sense, what gives you the right to take things from your guests?

Who is Mr superior

Like what is his story. Whenever a really good negotiator from Salazar is mentioned it’s Mister Superior. It’s stuck a strange and memorable name for a random character we have never seen. Was it a partition who just really wanted to be in the story and they used his username?

Skeleton Lord compared to Skeleton Lord

We know that Ivory is a Skelton Lord and that Pieces uses Skelton Champions normally. In 10.12H he says he can have 12 Skeleton champions at the same time. But only one skeleton Lord at once.
This would indicate that Ivory is superior to the regular champions. Is it just intelligence and skill? Also correct me if I am wrong but didn’t Pieces use the same ritual to summon Ivory as he did with his regular champions.
Finally how is Ivory still active and Pieces has his full mana capacity. If maintaining a Skeleton Lord is so hard how come he can still use high tier spells while having six skeleton lords and still maintain Ivory.

*I made a mistake on the title I though “Skeleton Lord compared to Skeleton Champion”

The reason why I say this is based on a few things. Mrsha was a random first pick and the only part where I actually got lucky.

I got four important things from her:

  1. The charter is dead. Despite how hard death hits in this novel compared to the amount of charters introduced very few actually die.
  2. It’s a woman.
  3. She is a mage.
  4. She is not from Izril.

This already gives me plenty of clues, from there I guessed Nail because the Quarasi killing her was memorable to me. And then once I saw Winstram, that she appeared before volume 5, and that she was mentioned more then Nail the only remaing option was Iliphres. Because she is the only significant female character that dies during Winstram days which was our only source of Winstram characters pre volume 5.

Pure skill

The thing that tiped me of was that he was a male human from the north that appeard after volume 9. But most importantly he was Unaffiliated, a surprisingly small amount of people don’t have allegiance to any group of people in a series.

What do you mean you didn’t read a magically enforced contract that takes place in the new lands Ylawes.
Might as well slap a slave collar on yourself while you are at it. In real life not reading a contract before signing it is very stupid.

In this world not only is there less regulation but there are Skills made to enforce a contract. I don’t know how reading contracts hasn’t become a second nature to these people. It’s the equivalent of knowing you have to get close to an archer or not to leave your drink alone with an assassin.

10.01L mistake

Normen says Vess, Jewel, and Durene are over level 30 in this chapter. But in 10.21E Durene levels up to level 27.
Maybe he just meant general combat ability but he could have just said “the three of them were each as dangerous as a level 30” instead of “the three of them were over level 30”.
