Lemme say some things first.

1. I DONT say this out of hatred for omnidock (even if bardock should’ve slammed him) and by extension I dont hate anyone who was involved with the death battle cause idk where that really came from since Invincible is trending and people could be posting about it for a number of other reasons.

2. This isn’t overconfidence in myself in the sense of “im so good at fighting that i could beat a viltrumite“ but rather the sense that “viltrumites are so bad at martial arts and combat + the battle iq that EVEN I could beat a viltrumite with the same stats” is more of the approach I was going for.

3. No hate to anyone who disagrees lol

4. The main idea of that whole post was to illustrate how Viltrumites in invincible compared to most other verses that are relevantly powerscaled are actual toddlers when it comes to throwing hands in comparison.

With that being said, Viltrumites are one of if not the BEST example for why Experience and battle iq along with combat don’t always correlate with each other. Yeah, their 1000 years old. But that doesn’t mean they know any formal form, or even created their own form of martial arts or have any form of battle iq feats or even showings that are higher than many other fictional characters.

The only one I can think of off the top of my head that they take battle iq over is Mahoraga because hes a creature.

But I also think thats fair that they do’t utilize martial arts all that much since they can create leverage of off nothing and martial arts relies on footwork meaning they wouldn’t need it and hence we don’t see it in choreography. Of course this doesn’t mean that they don‘t incorporate some drop kicks or spin kicks here and there when their on the ground.

BUT that ALSO doesn’t excuse the fact that their battle iq (ESPECIALLY IN TERMS OF FEATS AND MORESO IN ANTI FEATS) is very lackluster. (Insert the gif of Nolan and his executioner literally just throwing shit at each other with zero footing whatsoever 😔)

For example their lack of dodging and over reliance on the fact that they out stat their opponents as omni man described as using ”brutality” over analysis and strategy.

If they were just even a tad bit more evasive and on defense they would probably be able to not only avoid many fatal blows
rather than their sticking to their honestly more comparable to barbarian-ish fighting style that they use for thousands of years which doesn’t make them any better at fighting than say an MMA fighter irl

So my conclusion? relative to other fictional characters and even relative to real life, these guys can‘t really throw hands like that.

these dudes get battle iq and combat skill gapped in almost every matchup revolving around equal stats.

Even dudes like tanjiro could beat thragg, conquest and mark with equal stats (individually obviously)

God bless them if they have to fight someone with relative stats to them but with better battle iq and combat skill
