I don't know if this sub is right for this post, sorry. So, a little background info: I’m a transfer student from India currently in 11th grade in the US. It’s only been a few months since I came here. Back in India, I wanted to become a computer engineer. However, with AI taking over many IT jobs, everyone is advising me to pursue a career in healthcare. Growing up, I always had an aversion to healthcare jobs, especially as a doctor or nurse. I did some research and found out about nuclear pharmacy. From what I gather, I can study the subjects I genuinely have an interest in such as physics and maths. I guess I’m okay with chemistry but I find biology kinda boring. I know this is a niche field and getting a job is highly competitive, but the money is so good! I have had some exposure to the field mainly because my mother is a pharmacy professor and I would always accompany her during college when I was a toddler.

So, if any nuclear pharmacists are reading this, please tell me what I should expect in this field. Also, if you know any other jobs in healthcare that meet these needs I have please do tell me. ( I apologize for any confusion, as English is not my first language) I also don't know if this sub is right for this post.

I’m a student from India transferring into My Junior year of high school. Today, I met with my guidance counsellor, and he put me in 6 classes: Precalc, AP Bio, Honours Chem, Honours Eng, US History, and finally, gym. He also put me in the earliest class starting at 7:20. However, the schedule shows that there is a total of nine periods while they only put me in six. When I asked about having a physics class, he told me that it’s gonna be too much for me. So, I was wondering what I am supposed to do with the rest of the day since I only have six periods. I also want to join clubs and they don’t start till 3pm. What am I supposed to do till then?

I know there are lots of food spots that serve Yemeni mandi. It's also true that kuzhimandi(from Kerala, south of India) is very similar to the one from Yemen. But all said, they differ drastically. The flavour profiles are very different, with Yemeni mandi having a low-spice profile and using lamb as the meat. The sauces are different too. Anyways, idk why I'm explaining all of this and can anyone help me find one??

So I'm living with my relatives. I came to the US on a green card. I'm going to Susan Wagner HS in September. I had completed 11th grade in India, and when I became familiar with the topics they taught here, I realised that teaching in India was a bit advanced. They also taught Python there. They already taught us pretty advanced derivatives and stuff. Also, I have no extracurriculars (other than coding) because it wasn't encouraged in India. I figured that since I have two months of free time, I could prepare myself and get better adjusted to school here (and brush up on US history). So what advice do you have for me? (I'm aiming for a state university)

Is there anyone who went to the US before completing their studies in India? Also, what grade did you shift to in the US?? If so, how did you feel about the studies? Is it easy or hard? Asking from someone who is planning to study junior year in the US.(my_qualifications : studied till 11th grade in India)

Should I go to nyc just to study 12th grade?

So I'm an Indian student currently in 12th grade, and I have a green card, and I have been going back and forth for like 4 Years so that I won't lose my green card, but the last time I went they warned me and said that it was my last chance and now I'm thinking to study rest of 12th grade and then do college but I think that I won't get into any good college like anything other than communtiy college if I dont have any preparation for it cuz applications start at the start of 12th right so what should I do???😭😭

I'm entering 12th grade, and I was planning to major in computer science. However, with the current high unemployment rates, I'm having second thoughts and considering a switch to physics instead.I'm not sure now what kind of jobs you can get (coming from an average student) if I'm interested in theoretical physicsics.

I'm entering 12th grade, and the hybrid classes have started since the beginning of April, every day of the week. 😭😭😭 I'm wondering, because of the heat, will there be classes in May? Didn't the Kerala government say that there can't be any tuition classes after 10 am?
