Planning to start a Smash Burger cart in Nagpur.🍔

Hi everyone,

We're planning to start a Smash Burger cart in Nagpur, and before investing money, we wanted to understand the ground reality from people who have experience or have seen how food carts operate in the city.

We'd really appreciate any insights on questions like:

  1. Is it currently legal to operate a food cart in Nagpur? If yes, under what permissions?

  2. Are there designated vending/hawker zones, or do most carts operate at the risk of being removed?

  3. What permissions/licenses are generally required (NMC, FSSAI, etc.)?

  4. How strict is NMC these days regarding food carts and roadside vendors?

  5. Which areas have good customer footfall for premium burgers?

  6. If anyone here owns or has worked with a food cart/truck in Nagpur, what are the biggest challenges we should be prepared for?

We're not looking to set up anything illegally, we'd rather understand the rules first and do things properly.

Any advice, personal experiences, or contacts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Today's "Chalo Sansad" is Bigger Than Politics

We're following the Cockroach Janta Party movement for the past month, and there's something that's been bothering me.

From what I've been able to verify, Abhijeet Dipke was pursuing his master's in the US when he started this movement online. It gained massive traction, and instead of staying back to complete his degree and potentially build a comfortable career there, he came back to India to lead the protests himself. Whether you agree with every demand or not, that was a significant personal decision.

Over the past month, he's been on the streets, addressed the media repeatedly, organized protests, and continued demanding accountability and education reforms. Later, Sonam Wangchuk joined the movement and even went on a hunger strike, bringing even more national attention to the issue.

Today, seeing so many people come together for the "Chalo Sansad" march felt significant. Regardless of political ideology, it showed that a large number of young Indians are willing to peacefully raise their voices for an issue they believe affects their future. That level of civic participation deserves appreciation.

What surprises me, though, is that a huge part of the conversation online has shifted from the actual issues to attacking the person. Every day I see new videos claiming he's anti-Hindu, questioning where he eats, accusing him of hidden agendas, or trying to "expose" him based on selective clips. Maybe some criticism is valid. Maybe some isn't. I honestly don't know, and I'm not interested in blindly defending anyone.

What I do know is this: if someone manages to unite lakhs of students and bring a national issue into the spotlight, shouldn't we spend at least as much time discussing the issue as we do dissecting the individual?

It's healthy to question leaders. Public figures should absolutely be held accountable. But somewhere along the way, we've become so quick to label people as heroes or villains that we stop talking about the reason the movement exists in the first place.

I'm not saying Abhijeet Dipke is perfect. I don't know him personally. I'm saying that the conversation should be bigger than one person.

Whether this movement succeeds or fails, I hope it leads to meaningful discussions about education, examination integrity, and opportunities for young people in India rather than becoming just another personality war on social media.

And irrespective of where anyone stands politically, seeing thousands of Indians (especially young people) come together peacefully to participate in democracy is something I believe is worth appreciating. A society where citizens care enough to speak up is healthier than one where people stop caring altogether.

Maybe I'm missing something, and I'm open to hearing different perspectives.

But young Indians coming together despite all the noise, criticism, and attempts to divide them that's worth appreciating. Hats off to everyone who participated peacefully. 🇮🇳

G day

Small TAM is never a issue.

But building a good targeted list with direct message that resonates well matters the most :)

Electricity Bill Without AC | Mahavitaran

Nagpur heat is already unbearable and on top of that the electricity bills are getting insane.

Our house bill came around ₹4.5k this month and we don’t even use an AC. Just basic appliances + 2 coolers because surviving this heat without them is impossible now.

Honestly wondering what’s happening with Mahavitaran bills lately. Feels like middle class families are getting crushed from every side while temperatures keep increasing every year.

How are other people in Nagpur managing this summer? Are your electricity bills also this high recently?

Renting LinkedIn accounts for Outreach

Our team runs outbound mostly through email but we have been trying to add LinkedIn as a second layer.

The problem is we keep hitting the weekly connection limit.

Someone mentioned renting pre-aged LinkedIn profiles to run alongside our existing accounts and found a good vendor.

Has anyone actually done this?

  1. Do these profiles actually hold up or do they get restricted?

  2. Is the quality of connections you get from a rented profile the same as from a real one?

  3. What is the ROI there?

Happy to share the vendor name if needed or if you've a better deal please share it my way 🙏🏻
