I play mainly survival games such as outlast trials, dead by daylight, Phasmophobia (rarely ngl), some deceit as of recent.

BUT (don’t worry there’s a but 😏) I also play games like overwatch, Fortnite, WWM, COD (if you meet me on a day where I download it back lolll). I have a bunch of other games but those are what is downloaded right now.

One thing about me: I’m gonna talk about anime so if that will irritate you keep it moving buddy. Im dying to talk about the boys and euphoria with someone so if you watch those hmuuuu 😝.

I’d really like to play with someone right now as I’m bored out of my mind and wanna run the new event on outlast so if you’re down def lmk. If not that’s fine still hmu I won’t be on outlast all night 😍.

I’ve only really played uncharted before, and I really liked that franchise. So why wouldn’t I like a the badass female counterpart franchise? (Idk which came first I assume TR. either way she’s cool as hell).

Well I just have to say Laura is a different kind of beast. Holy hell. I expected more of an adventure type game like the UC series (which it has) but the TR games (the reboots or remakes? Not sure what they are) are so gory and actually SCARY?!?

I’m playing the 2013 game I believe, and my only intro to the character other then just knowing of her , is her being a dead by daylight character. And I always wondered “why?” Since I assumed it was just like uncharted but no. I 1000% get it. The supernatural elements mixed with the intense survival aspect… yeah I give this game its props. Happy to have picked it up truly!

*spoilers?* So I see people complaining about the scene with kitty and it being irrelevant and unnecessary.

But it’s not. it’s actually an important scene to rues characters development and her realization of her surroundings.

For this to make sense we need to go back to the beginning after rue leaves Laurie*. To rue Alamo is her “savior”. He is her inspiration that she can have it all, and go legit. Seeing him in that setting appealed to her and struck a fire in her. I mean she got to be surrounded by beautiful women, she was actually being paid, no longer risking her life swallowing drug packages and smuggling them across the border. THIS WAS THE PINNACLE for her.

She completely romanticized her surroundings. Her being an addict by her own choice (meaning she wasn’t laced, nor peer pressured to take drugs, she made the sole conscious choice to partake in drugs), she projects that onto the dancers. She doesn’t think for a second that Alamo is doping these women up to numb them like most pimps do. That’s such a far thought for her. She sees the club as a place the women willingly want to go, enjoy being at, make money and just their choices.

Fast forward to the last episode, she starts off again, romanticizing her environment and actions but slowly the shift is occurring. A line that sticks out greatly and is directly related to the kitty prostitution scene is when Laurie* tells rue “the grass is always greener near the septic tank”. This is a LAYERED analogy, and direct reflection of rues rose colored view. She’s a women, partaking in a trafficking ring and is so completely oblivious to it because it’s better than her time with Laurie*. Rue makes a face kinda confused because she doesn’t truly get it in the moment.

But then she’s arrested and forced to be a snitch. This is the moment that the tint starts to fade because it HAS to fade. She now needs to be on alert for 1. Her safety, and 2. She needs the information that will keep her out of prison for life.

Cue the kitty scene. This is the first time rue sees the club for exactly what it is. And in that moment the tint is gone. She notices kitty’s body language, she sees the stiffness in her body, and we the audience do too. The dissociative behavior, the way she grimaces. This woman who prior was showcased as someone who loves to dance is now showing her colors. However, it was already shown with Alamo. The scene where the silhouette of her legs spread and he has a significantly larger silhouette signifying his power over her body.

Cut to the bathroom scene when rues checking up on her, and kitty says “I just like to dance”. WE know that’s not true. But finally RUE knows that’s not true. This isn’t what she thought it was.

I understand it being a triggering scene but it’s very realistic of real life and actually it’s more sugar coated than what really happens a lot of the times.
