Declined for no reason?

I have over $700 in my checking account. I just got declined while trying to get gas at the gas station. It wasn’t for any merchant reason, it was just getting declined. When I tried to call, the AI assist told me I was declined for lack of funds. When I asked how much funds I had, it told me over 700. When I asked why I got declined for lack of funds when I had funds, it said you need a live agent and then it hung up on me because no one is available after 5 PM. Now I’m stuck with a car that has no gas and I don’t know what to do and it’s infuriating. SoFi what is going on?

My kid’s new BABYMETAL sticker.

Last year she passed out stickers she made at age 7. Now she has her age 8 version to pass out at the San Diego Petco Park show. I will take some to the Phoenix show, too, even though she won’t be able to join me for that one. 😭

She turned 8 today. When I asked what she wanted, she said her own BABYMETAL records. I am so proud of my kogitsune!

Babymetal songs and emotional potency

Wherever we are, we'll be with you

I was just listening to my playlists on shuffle while driving today when Startlight came on. I have heard it upwards of maybe 375243859058463 times.

For some reason today, when the above refrain came in, I just felt the tears rolling down my face. Don’t get me wrong, it’s always been an emotional song, but it really hit me.

Somehow, more than any other band, the best BABYMETAL songs have this emotional staying power that seems to be immune from the tendency of a lot of songs to “get old” after too much overplay. I feel spent, but somehow deeply renewed.

Monochrome would be another example for me. Not just my favorite BABYMETAL songs, but (for deeply personal reasons) my favorite song by anyone.
