Now that Polaroid pack film is pretty much dead, the only way to use this camera without modifying it is with a roll film adapter, which costs more than the camera itself. Getting a Mamiya Universal Press would make way more sense in every way, but I decided to take the hard way instead.
In Korea, from the ’80s through the early 2000s, there was a pretty strong perception that if you were a professional photographer, you shot Nikon. So I always had this idea in the back of my mind that someday I’d own a Nikon myself.
My first DSLR was an Olympus E-420, which was the cheapest DSLR on the market at the time. I bought it with money I saved from working part-time as a student. Since I already had those lenses, I stuck with Olympus when I eventually moved to mirrorless as well.
I only really got into film photography this year. I started out with Olympus there too, but before long, I found myself wanting autofocus again.
By then, I was older and didn’t really have to shop purely based on whichever camera was cheapest anymore. So when I finally decided to get a Nikon, it felt like I was finally checking off something I’d wanted to do for a long time.

Buyee listed the Nikon film camera AA battery holder I purchased as a “lithium battery pack,” so DHL returned the package.
They opened the returned package, inspected it, and confirmed that there were actually no batteries inside. After that, I paid the shipping fee again and they sent it out once more.
However, they only listed the item as “Battery Pack - Plastic” this time, and DHL has refused to ship it again.

E-M5.3/FT Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM - It isn't worth going out of your way to find and buy, but if you see it listed for around $50 on a used marketplace, you should definitely purchase it. On PDAF models, the AF speed is decent, aside from occasional AF fail by a rattling sound. Common to Sigma FT lenses, they tend to malfunction when the camera battery is running low. In the case of this lens, the aperture blades moved randomly.
I originally asked a local lab if I could bring empty film canisters for this project, but they were full of boring disposable camera film. In the end, I bought a box of bulk film canisters sold for reload and sorted through it. The frame is quite a bit larger than I expected, so I am looking for a way to hang it securely on the wall.
