This is not ment negatively in any way. I just don't really understand the purpose of that term and I am honestly curious why people use it as a self description.

If trans women are women, and women who love women (and not men) are lesbians, why is there a special term for lesbians who are trans women. This is super counterintuitive for my autistic brain.

I can understand that there might be occasions where it make sense to have a special term to show that you are a trans lesbian (and people like to shorten things). But I see transbian quite often as a self description, e.g. in trans inclusive lesbian subs. And that is really confusing for me.

Aren't we all just women?

Has anybody else noticed, that they became way more flexible relatively quickly after starting HRT (11 month now)? I knew that muscles, tendons, and ligaments change (and that this is why you end up getting shorter), but I never expected the effect to be so extreme.

I cold never reach the floor with my finger tips, when standing with with legs closed and my knees locked. Now I can put both palms on the floor when doing that test. And I constantly find myself curled up in very small spaced. Or have both feet on my chair, when sitting at my desk. Or pulling my knees to my chest, when laying in bed.

I've joined a flexibility and streching course and I am the only person who is not a cis woman. And I see others struggling way more than myself.

I am neither young, nor small and light, I am in my mid thirties, 6.1 feet and 230 pounds.

Unfortunately, my girlfriend and I only have one pair of pants. So whoever gets up first and puts them on is the man for the day!

... just kiddin' the real man in our house is our male cat. Because he is constantly screaming for food, never cleans after him, sleeps als day, is completely useless when it comes to chores, and whenever we make out, he wants to join aggressively and can only be stopped by locking him out.

So who is the man in your relationship/household.

I tend to wear light makeup in my daily routine:

- (Sunscreen—okay, not exactly makeup, but a must)

- Pale orange color correction for my dark circles

- A thin layer of concealer on my nose and around my eyes to cover redness

- Setting powder

- Black liquid eyeliner

- Kajal for the waterline

- Mascara

- Tinted lip gloss

When I’m in a hurry, just sunscreen and the eye makeup

I have a lot more makeup than that. But on a daily basis, I wear this 9 out of 10 days.

What do you girls use?

Just a silly little question for the weekend: I am curious how many of us live with cats (real, four-legged furry felines, not cat girls ;)).

My girlfriend and I share our house with two cats: A rather large tuxedo male cat who I raised by hand (which officially makes me his mother; he was rescued from a farm when he was two weeks old and I adopted him at eight weeks) and a tiny snow white female cat with ice blue eyes, which compensates size with boldness: She weighs less than half of his weight, but he is barely able to get any treats. But they really are a heart and a soul, and spend most of the time cuddling.

Das Thema ist ja momentan extrem groß und es gibt fast jeden Tag Posts dazu, dass wieder eine Praxis die Kostenübernahme verlang.

Aber gibt es irgendwelche Infos darüber, welche Krankenkassen (in welchem Bundesland) überhaupt Regressforderungen an die Ärzte geschickt haben?

Tl;dr: Gibt es für euch einen Tag, den ihr als eurer peesönliches Jubiläum anseht: Egg-Crack, Coming Out, erster Tag HRT, SBGG, Tag der GaOp, oder noch ein anderer?

Heute vor einem Jahr habe ich in meinem Geburtsstandesamt das Dokument unterschrieben, durch dass ich ab dem Tag rückwirkend ab meiner Geburt weiblich geworden bin. Der "kleine" Fehler, der da vor 35 Jahren bei meiner Geburt gemacht wurde, wurde offiziell korrigiert 🤭.

Für mich persönlich ist dieser Tag irgendwie deutlich wichtiger, als z.B. der Tag, an dem ich meine erste HRT-Dosis genommen habe (jährt sich mitte Juni zum ersten Mal), da für mich die soziale Transition lange deutlich wichtiger war, als die medizinische. Meine soziale Transition hat irgendwann um 2019/2020 begonnen, ab Mitte 2023 war ich dann auch in allen privaten sozialen Kreisen geoutet. Bei der Arbeit habe ich es dann im März 2025 öffentlich gemacht, da die Änderung ja kurz bevor stand.

Ich habe in dem einen Jahr als Frau ausschließlich positive Erfahrungen gemacht - viele Personen aus meinem beruflichen, von denen ich negative Reaktionen erwartet habe, haben mich mit völlig unerwartet positiven Reaktionen überrascht - von Umarmungen, Komplimenten für meinen Mut, mein Outfit und mein Make Up bis hin zum hinreichen des Handys direkt nach dem Outing, damit ich meinen Namen gleich richtig ändern kann (besagte Person ist ü65 und dafür legendär, ein nörgelnder alter, weißer Mann zu sein; sie hat mich nicht ein einziges Mal missgendert oder mit dem falschen Namen angesprochen).

Ich weiß, dass ich als Wissenschaftlerin im Umweltbereich in einer "links-grün-versifften(TM)" Blase lebe. Trotzdem hätte ich nicht damit gerechnet, dass besonders die Generation ü60, männlich wie weiblich, mich ohne weiteres als Frau akzeptiert.

Inzwischen hat sich durch die HRT mein Körper erheblich verändert und die körperlichen Aspekte sind die, auf die sich mein Blick für die Zukunft gewandelt hat. Mein Bart ist zu 99 % verschwunden, dem kümmerlichen Rest geht es bald mit der Nadel an die Wurzel. Mein GaOp-Indikationsschreiben ist da und in wenigen Wochen habe ich das erste Vorgespräch. An der Stimme arbeite ich noch, aber ich klinge immer öfter und länger so, wie ich klingen möchte. Und wenn ich vor dem Spiegel stehe, hasse ich nicht mehr, was ich sehr, sondern spiele höchstens gezielt mit dem Gedanken, ob ich mir irgendwann doch noch ne Schulterbreitenreduktion gönne, oder ob nicht doch noch ne leichte FFS meinem Kinn gut tun würde.

Ich wünschte, die Person, deren Ei 2012 erste Risse bekommen hat, könnte sehen, wie glücklich die Frau aus 2026 sehen.

We’ve been separated since February 2023. Given the mandatory one-year waiting period, we could have been divorced since mid-2024 if my NEx hadn’t delayed the divorce by two years through constant sick leave (which has always been her tactic for avoiding unpleasant situations).

I took the whole week off work to prepare myself emotionally. My new partner (of almost three years) and two good friends have taken the day off tomorrow to be with me and support me. All for nothing.

Right now, I just feel empty. I want this chapter to finally come to an end so I can finally move on and heal. I want to know once and for all that I’ll never have to see her again and that all this torment is over. I’m tired.
