How does roadside assistance/towing work?

I recently got a flat tire and I do not have a spire tire so I will need to take my tire to the shop or have my car towed to the shop.

I've never used roadside assistance so I'm curious what your experience with it is? My tire comes on Thursday but there wasn't any slots available. Can I just call in the morning to have my tire or car taken to the shop?

Recommended towing companies?

Hi everyone, my car has a flat and I do not have a spare tire or the resources to do it at home so I will need it towed to the shop. It aggressivley deflated so I also don't trust it to drive safetly the five or so miles to get there.

Does anyone have any recommended towers? And anyone know what a range for that would be?

My tire got a piece of metal stuck in it. Can it be patched or does a new tire need to be purchased?

I hate my city. This is the third time in the past year I got a nail or bit of metal in one of my tires.

Anyway, before I schedule an appointment, does this look like it can be patched or will I need a new tire?

What would you do if an guy keeps on making mistakes three years into their role?

Hi all, got a unique situation. To lay it out, I've been in my role for a little over a year and a half doing lifecylce management for a larger company. I supervise the work of one part time intern. I am going to get two more interns in a month or two.

There's also another intern who has been with the company for about three years and continually makes mistakes. Just today, one of my teamates let me know that the intern took a test laptop and prepared it for a new staff person. He makes regular mistakes like this, where I and others often have to clean up after him. For example, he would say he sent out a package but didn't actually do it, and then we have to scrable to finish it. He also does not follow certain processes and does his own thing. He also works five hours a week or less.

Now, my supervisor is beyond overworked, often getting four hours of sleep during on call, so he doesn't have a chance to speak this intern to get his shit together.

This is pure speculation, but I don't think he's all the way there. He's not sociable (even beyond what you'd expect in this field), and we hardly ever know that he's in the office because he prefers to work alone in storage areas.

I don't supervise him so I can't say anything, but the way he does his work is affecting my output and other people on my team because he makes so many mistakes.

Also, another situation. There's a younger guy who's been at the company longer than me To not dox myself, I'll just say I'm knowledgeable about thing 1 and he is knowledgeable about thing 2. I needed to do something related to thing 2 and I wanted him to look it over just as precaution. I imagine it would have taken him 10-15 minutes. He said no and that he trusts me, but I'm concerned because of what could go wrong. So I asked our boss if he should, and our supervisor agreed he should, but when I asked him again, he said he didn't want to. His justification was that the end user is probably going to scream anyway so he'll just wait for that moment. I know some people prefer to plan ahead and others prefer to do nothing until something goes wrong, but it just felt like laziness. I wasn't asking him to do the task at all, just to double check that I did everything right. He's also known on our team for closing among the fewest tickets.

I guess this is slightly a vent post, but I don't know why my supervisor or his supervisor haven't put this guy on some sort of improvement plan or told him he needs to do better work.

What are some of Puerto Vallarta's hidden gems for a person traveling alone?

Hi guys, I have only had family trips to Puerto Vallarta and they have always been what you would expect as family trips. We stayed at beach front all inclusives, but I always hated having to share a room with a cousin and the family drama that would happen. On top of that, I would only ever see a certain portion of Puerto Vallarta and the surrounding area.

I was debating between Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, Tulum, and Puerto Vallarta, but PV made the most sense in terms of affortability and gay friendliness.

Now as a late 20s gay person traveling alone in late June for two weeks, what are some hidden gems, bars, restaurants, etc., across the city? Would you say it is safe to hike in the area? Is it easy to rent a car and or boat ferry to other smaller coastal towns? Is uber easy to use?

What should i avoid doing as a tourist/gay person?

I'm burned out from stress from my job, so I think the first three days I might just be at my hotel pool, but after that I do want to get to the beach and do other things.

Ways to find affordable hotels while still complying?

I don't travel internationally that often, but finding a hotel room or short term rental is damn near impossible if you're not using expedia, airbnb, or vrbo. The alternatives are just booking directly through a hotel, but those are often very expensive.

So do you have any suggestions? Particularly for coastal towns in the US or nearby the US?

What do you think of Brad Troemel's work now?

I'm not especially familiar with his practice, but something about it feels dated? At least the aggregations of things he posts on instagram.

I imagine it was more revolutionary in the late 2000s and early 2010s when people used tumblr.
