This fucking sub has become my place to vent. I use the word Fuck far too much for these common fucking subs.

Yo, what the fuck is up with “zero proof” fucking alcohol? Like, who the fuck was like “you know what bro, I don’t want to get fucked up, but I do want to drink a disgusting liquid that burns my fucking throat.” What kind of dumb fucking idiocracy timeline are we fucking in any fucking way? Where can a guy find a nice hat around here?

Seriously, the only hat shop I’ve found is all the way over at Pike’s Place and the men’s department is minimal. I don’t want baseball caps. Where can I get a good straw or felt fedora? Preferably of the pork pie variety. Cowboy hats have appeal as well. Tired of wondering if the ones on Amazon will fit or feel right and hat shopping is fun af!

Saw another one of these posted in here and thought I’d see if anyone had any knowledge to spit at me about this reel.

Wife’s farm got hit by a tornado and we had to go back and salvage what we could of the wreckage. Found this reel in an old piece of furniture. Wife seems to think it was her grandfathers but said I could have it. AI says it’s dated 1958/59 according to the serial number. It spins decent for the rats nest of line that it has on it. Thinking about taking it to the local gear supplier and seeing if they can do a professional cleaning, re lining, and maybe match up a pole to it. If y’all might have a recommendation for a good pole to match it with that’d be cool.

What have I got?

Looking for wildflower identification. If this is the wrong place I apologize. The first little white/purple colored flowers have absolutely exploded on my property this year. Never seen them before. The second yellow flower makes its home in the gravel around my shop amongst the horsetail and blackberries. I’m in the Wa part of the PNW.

Working on my waterfall and I’m wondering what a good depth and maybe height combo is for pools beneath waterfalls? I’m doing a 3 or 4 tier cascade and I’d like to have minimal noise. Not silent but also not pissing in a deep toilet or on a slab of concrete. Is 2”-3” enough depth? Maybe I’ll try and test it with some casserole dishes or something first. I don’t know. What do you guys have for noise? Is there some kind of formula behind this? Like, if your waterfall is X high and your pool is X deep you’re gonna have perfect zen?

This whole thing starts with a bell tower, if you missed my first post. Today I poured the slab that will support a large concrete block that will support my bell tower.

This is the backside where I’ll be building a 4 tier waterfall dumping into the pond. This will be a pretty permanent installation if that’s not apparent.

My question is about the lowest tier where the retaining blocks are forming a semicircle. My idea is to create all the tiers out of blocking chicken wire mortar and waterproofing cloth like you would in a bath or shower, to give a nice gentle cascade into a birdbath type bottom tier. It’ll be a sculpture hopefully. Doing this will make the bottom tier quite permanent and I’m not sure how to handle the blend between this and the pond liner. If I put the pond liner under the blocks, there’s no removing it for repair. Can I get away with another underwater tier containing pond rocks to pin the liner?

Hope my question is clear. I’m just trying to get ahead of planning this out.

My fucking father in law just survived a tornado.

I needed to share this bit of legendary information and I didn’t know where to fucking put it, but you fuckers seems like a solid fucking group, so I’ll bless the fuck out of you with the details.

Best anyone can figure, this fuckin guy was standing in the utility room when all fucking hell broke loose. The fuckin twister blasted the fucking door open causing blunt force trauma to all of this SOB’s left side extremities. Was informed that his hip and leg were in so much pain he didn’t realize there was fucking wood through his hand. After scans at the fucking hospital he was diagnosed with concussion with bleeding on the brain and a couple broken ribs. He’ll be in the fucking hospital a few more nights but holy fuck guys and gals, I could go on about this John fucking Wayne of a human, but I’ll spare you that and just let you know, fighting with a tornado is the fucking icing on this man’s life.
