Trying to find a work around for my kindle that won’t register. Accidentally reset it, and now when I try to register it, it says an email will be sent that is never sent.
Posted this recently but was messaged work around that were for different error messages, haven’t seen anyone face this issue.
Password and email are correct, restarted the device etc.
Edit: it’s a kindle touch not a k4, my mistake.
accidentally factory reset it while trying to jailbreak it. I’ve been on to Amazon customer service trying to register it for hours now and have finally been told “On older devices like the Kindle Touch (4th Gen), a factory reset often triggers a modern security check that the old software cannot complete without a specific workaround
the reset has reverted it to a base version that lacks the “2016 Mandatory Update.”
Since it has no new updates and it’s no reset, the device is stuck in a loop and can’t be registered.” Has anyone figured out a way around this or a way to completely wipe it? I can connect it to my laptop and it connects to WiFi.
