Clear answer for how treatment on the NHS works?
I've been reading a lot online, both here and various websites, and can't seem to find a clear answer on both the scale of waiting times, and what routes and/or clinics to go to?
Currently, I'm 16, in the south west, and take non-prescribed HRT (I have done for just over a year).
What I want to do is use the NHS to get phalloplasty, top surgery I'm happy to go private, but for phallo I js don't think I'll be able to afford upwards of 60k anytime without a loan.
I know that the south west clinic has one of the longer waiting times, can I join the list for another? What 's the actual process like after you even get in? How much time do I need to spend on NHS hormones before I can get a surgery referral, or does my current HRT count? What about the waiting time for a phallo consult?
Is it unreasonable to think if I join the list at 17 I'll be able to have phallo before I'm 30?
