Im researching a deer hunting rifle. Something multi purpose. It may be the only hunting rifle I ever buy. What features should i be looking at? Where should i be reseaching? What calibre do you suggest? Im leaning .308. (Partially because it will also shoot the 7.62 x 51 shell in a shtf situation) I've shot .270, 30.06, and 7mm, but that was a long time ago. I want it to be quality, but affordable. Im looking at it as an investment also, so I dont mind paying for quality. The sub may not like this, but it doesn't have to be Ruger 🤣 Thank you.
