I love goat tower

I'm lost in Bristol I love Bristol. It's like a lot of weird things really resonate with me, the music , the friendliness, the "alternative" culture, the need to stock your neck it and say " that's not right", but after two years I'm 42m still needing a friend group or something, hangs, events, stuff to do.... I'm healing from a lot and very open to any new connections. I love to chat to people, I love interesting music, electronic, metal, doom, rock... whatever. I'm still trying to fit in and find my clan. Would be amazing to start a semi sober doom metal, band called Goat Tower.. anyone think that's a cool name? Both my parents died and I losty family home. Two years in Bristol and still up for making new friends. I know I sound retarded, I am man. I'm rebirthing myself from nothing. I love Bristol seems to have a lot of deeper things I feel right about.. but I am still very isolated...

Up for a fuzzy fat jam I play guitar... also into electronic stuff... anyone wanna chat or jam please reach out... yes it's a wondering post of nonsense those can be the best... love Bristol xxxxxxxz

Why do Bristolians litter so damn much !?

It's hard to grasp from living in London for 40 years I'm in shock about several things that seem normal in Bristol.

Casually littering constantly. Even in a suburban area with st. George's flags everywhere (ironically).

I feel like it's considered normal just to litter here. Mostly white English people doing it so don't give me that racist third world bs...

Why is it like this? Has it always been? Even right next to a bin people litter... It's shocking....

behringer edge range of sounds and possibilities

I am really interested in having some kinda percussive synth or drum machine, I had a drum machine before and I was dissapointed in the limited rage of sounds from it. i usually use my sampler. BUt I miss the tweak ability of some kinda synth to make drum sounds.

Does the edge have a good range in your opinion? Cuz everywhere I go I just hear similar distorted techno sounds which are cool but.. I will make one track with it and want more range...

i was hoping to make start some little modular/semi modular set up and hoping this will give me the range I wish for, is it just not worth it with the semi modular and jump into modular.. I guess thats such a leap and I don't have the money, was thinking a behringer neutron and edge would be amazing and hopefully give me a huge range for many years without giving up on them.. or would a 2600 be better as that is the same price as getting a neutron+edge..

anyway just some ramblings and wonderings if anyone with more experience with those devices has an opinion then let me know your thoughts, i really appreciate it...

Anyone else find YouTube app on android so annoying now?

I get so frustrated with the user experience these days, you can smell the corporate greed and lack of customer needs.

Now they added so many presses to do things that used to be easy in YouTube app. They even made it so if you try and minimize the app it won't go away and keeps playing in a little annoying window obscuring your new task. Now I have to press to close this window. Is the pint of UX to have as little presses as possible to achieve your goals? Now they made the bottom tool bar in many apps including YouTube disappear until you scroll up. So now that's another extra movement needed to just press on "subscriptions" or one of the icons you need for common sections of the app.

It seems everything they add to give more convenience makes it less convenient.

Just to get to the videos of a channel I'm subscribed too which is the entire point fi YouTube right? To watch videos ?? The steps needed now:

1:I have to press subscriptions (possibly needing to scroll up to bring the tool bar back).

2: you get to a very messy page, a "feed". With a tiny row along the top of my subscriptions, which isn't useful, you have to scroll forever to get through them all. So I have to press "all".

3: ok so now I finally get to a list of my subs with a handy search function. This used to be what you got immediately with ONE press.

4: press on the channel you want, and it used to go to "home" which is a weird bullshit social media thing they added of posts and useless nonsense. This time it did go straight to videos so hopefully they have changed this.

Anyway that's about it. But this is about 4-5 presses or swipes just to see a channels videos!?

I find it so frustrating and it not only YouTube. It seems to be normal to keep adding more and more useless functions and features completely misunderstanding the needs of the user and the main use of the app. Making it more like a maze you have to navigate. Hiding things you need to use commonly and adding popups everywhere that get in the way and you have added presses to close.

I know enshitification is a thing and I wish thee massive greedy corporations would leave shit alone, it worked fine before stop messing with it. People like a smooth work flow and being familiar with the process.

Can't buy a pot that's not shedding something into my food

What sort of metal is this anyway ? Looks like it's flaking into my food which is exactly why I bought a normal metal pot as my stick proof one was also shedding bits into my food. I don't ever use metal on anything only wooden spoons. Enshitification?

Any cheap headphones with Bluetooth and 3.5mm that don't have super hyped bass?

I'm not being super fussy I want some cheap headphones. I tried a pair with good reviews and literally sounded like I was listening to music underwater water, all bass no mods or highs. I really want them to be able to go to wired easily so want 3.5mm not 2.5mm jack inputs. Otherwise I had my eyes on the JBL 720bt, as they have a balanced EQ setting but 2.5mm jack (who wants that?!). Anyone have hands on experience with a cheaper pair of headphones with both Bluetooth and 3.5mm that are reasonably flat ? As I say I'm not looking for anything expensive as I'll no doubt lose them or break them at some point (no headphones last very long with me tbh :( ) thanks !

Anyone manage to sell in the UK?

I defended this project for ages and over the last year it's become obviously it's highly suspicious if not an outright scam. No sign of any miners, the smaller ones seem totally fake re purposed routers or something... It never went "live" you cannot sell on any exchange I have attempted to use. I'm in the UK anyone have any lock selling ? Seems the price is up a bit and I could maybe make a bit of my money back.

the xr18 is so confusing wtf is happening??

I just wanna use my xr 18 and I thought it was an audio interface but its not acting like one. When I go to choose my inputs I have a very odd selection of choices. Not inputs 1-18 which is what makes sense as its a 18 input audio interface. Why do I have what is shown in the image? wtf man hahah why does everyone make it as confusing an illogical as possible? I have used the mix station to put my main L and LR mix into my 11-12 mixer inputs and then I should use my laptop to accept the 11-12 xr18 channels so I can record a main mix? Its showing completely random choices, 1-8??? 5-6?? 7-8?? its an8 input audio inteface!!!

Digitakt 2 still doesnt have true beat slicing ?!

I'm gonna lose it haha I thought I checked but the main reason I upgraded was I really want beat slicing. But it's still a grid based one, I want transient beat slicing... Like most samplers do... Is it really that complex ?

Why white ?

I just got the Digitakt ii mostly because I need beat slicing. I don't get the move to white LCD. The yellow seemed very logical. It's the least straining and easiest to focus on. Anyone else find this ? And can I relatively easily change it with a different LCD?
