Has anyone tried compact monitors with low-frequency 8-string tunings like Drop E? I have limited space on and around my desk (100x60 cm) and need the smallest monitors possible. I'm thinking about Adam D3V or Kali LP-UNF due to low frequency response.

41.2 Hz fundamental pitch of Drop E

Kali Audio LP-UNF reach surprisingly low for a small desktop monitor (rolling off at 54 Hz ±3dB, with usable extension down to 39 Hz at -10dB).

The D3V response: The D3V drops off at 45 Hz (-6 dB) and 48 Hz (-3 dB).

Unfortunately, I'm unable to transfer my pension to my country because it's not on the recognised overseas pension schemes notification list. The only option is obviously to wait till age of 57, but in the meantime I'd like to increase the value of the funds as much as I can. I was advised that I can invest in one of their Pension Investment Approach (PIA) packages, or I can select my own funds.

The exact string notes from lowest (7th) to highest (1st) are G#, C#, F#, B, E, G#, C#. This is essentially 4.5 steps down from standard tuning, or 1.5 steps down from a standard 7-string tuning (G# standard). Will this set of strings, D'Addario NYXL1164, be ok for Legator G7FP?

Has anyone in Europe tried these German strings?
