I am based in the UK. Fully aware that some countries do it better and quicker.

My car is now repaired and I pick it up Friday. (Needs an MOT)

In the end I had to do the following.

1. Formal complaint to Audi.
2. Formal complaint to dealership, known as Lookers in the UK.
3. Posted a terrible review on trustpilot.
4. Phone the dealership every few days and chase them.
5. Threaten to cancel the finance plan with finance company.

3 months with no car is simply unacceptable. The dealership clearly has issues, coupled with the shortage of EB techs. Thankfully Audi UK pushed the dealership to get my car repaired and have at least apologised for this shit show.

My wife’s car took two months to repair, as that was from a different dealer and under that new car warranty, we at least got her a courtesy car.

The slap to the face there is that the dealer damaged the car so it needs to go back in to get damaged repaired.

It should need to be the case that it takes this level of effort to get cars repaired under warranty.

I hope this helps anyone thinking of buying an e-tron or getting screwed around by their dealer.

So done a multi city trip with BA where I am silver.

On the way back home I flew via Cleveland > Dublin > Glasgow.

Aer Lingus lady telling me I don’t have lounge access as they only allow it now for flights to Heathrow.

Used the Aer Lingus lounge many times in the past.

Is this a recent change or is the lady wrong?

So if you live in the UK and are thinking of a used e-tron think long and hard if you want to take the risks.

Other regions like USA and parts of Europe seem to have much better service.

So I am now at the 2.5 month mark and got so fed up waiting on Audi I bought a cheap run around car to keep me going.

The good news is that Audi agreed to repairing the car, the bad news is that the dealership support structure is terrible.

Car sat for a month as there was 4 other cars in the queue.

The past two weeks the dealership are just playing games. They don’t return any calls, if you do get a service agent they don’t have a clue.

To add insult to injury, the wife’s q4 needs a full charge module replacement, at the dealership for her car, gave her a loaner. My dealership, is just full of excuses about everything.

It’s a pity, I loved my e-tron until the rear motor failed and had to go through this shit show.

Hopefully the finance company is going to tear up the contract and I can wave the car good bye.

Avoid the 50/55 early models like the plague. There’s a reason why they are cheap 2nd. If you are thinking of getting any e-tron …. Ask to see it charging so you don’t get landed with a faulty charge unit.

I have complained to Octopus and their explanation is that as my smart meter wasn’t working correctly they have gone back until the start of 2025 and changed all my bills from Agile
to variable.

Despite my meter readings and complaints about the meter not working correctly.

Could appreciate this would be the case if it was just a few months but 1.5 years.

I’ve raised a formal complaint.

Love how after. Two year battle to get smart meter working, they decided to change all my bills from the past two years & despite submitting meter readings I’ve gone from 2k credit to -609 quid.

The bill is impossible to follow some of the values are completely bonkers vs previous years.

So I think it’s time to say goodbye.

Currently on a keychron K2. Two things annoy me, the noise level is quite irratating for me, people online and my family and the bluetooth can occasionally drop or be a pain on start up.

Yes it’s a lovely, comfy premium feeling car to drive.

But the reliability is shit.

The extended warranty is expensive £1200 per year.

The drive motor has a design flaw. 50/55 models will fail.

It’s a shit show getting Audi to repair it.

My car has been off the road for a month will still waiting, likely to be at least another month.

As soon as mines is repaired, never buying another Audi EV.

The Audi Shrills will say their cars are perfect,,,,,, until they get hit with a failure.

Mw5 passed me by when I first came out.

Used to love Chromehounds back in the day.

So my original e-tron 50 now been off the road for close to two weeks with motor failure.

Local dealer is pretty useless, still waiting on report….. chased them a lot and got usual excuses and false promises.

Against my better judgement, the wife had ordered and picked up a nearly new Q4 (ordered just before mines went offline)

Bought from a different dealer, who thankfully isn’t as disorgansied.

It has a fault with the charging system…… thankfully covered by warranty. (Considering if we should just hand it back )…… dealer doesn’t know how to fix it despite been Audi approved and we need to wait until a. More senior Audi tech can give advice.

But what a complete shit show.

Never buying Audi again.
