I constantly see this game high up on top VR game lists so I decided to buy it. Im just getting back into non-sim VR titles just to change it up and also got Arizona sunshine 2.

Freakin loved AZ 2, alotttt. I could put it up there close to half life alyx and wish it was longer.

But walking dead was a bit of a let down after playing AZ 2. No hate to anyone that loves/loved this game, but do any others feel the same? Maybe im missing something, is there mods that make it better?
it seemed a little toon-ish in my opinion(graphics), and kinda grindy. idk why, I enjoyed scavenging in AZ 2, but scavenging in walking dead seemed over the top or something off about it that just wasn't as enjoyable, at least in my little time with it. idk lol

Any other title suggestions to try out that rival AZ 2 (for those of you who loved AZ 2)? I saw world war z, but looks a little arcadish (idk the best word to describe it).

One of my upper molars has been giving me problems for almost 4 years now.
The first two years, it was semi-minor enough to ignore. Just felt like a popcorn kernel stuck in the teeth.

I finally got annoyed enough after 2 years that I went to get it checked out. The dentist found a slight crack, but sent me to an Endo to get the pictures taken with a machine my dentist didn't have.
They did x rays and took the pictures but said the crack was superficial and did not show up on anything they took so it wouldn't be causing the pain. The cold test and bite test showed no issues. I can chew fine and it's not sensitive to cold/hot. It actually feels a little better when I eat/chew food, but then it gets sooo much worse after the fact.
So I just chewed on my left side for a while and that helped a lot , but now it always hurts and has been all year.

I went to get my teeth cleaned and told the dentist, the tooth constantly radiates with pain all day. I have to take pain relievers to get it to calm down on the bad days.
he got the x rays and pictures from the Endo and said, yup I don't see anything that would warrant the pain and the crack doesn't show, so I agree with the endo.

"Sooo... now what doc?"
he gave me a weeks worth of amoxicillin and said maybe its an infection and this will take care of it.
"and if it doesn't make it better?"
come back when its worse so we can find the issue

This sucker hurts, ALL day, every day. Any idea what to do now? 2 docs are telling me there's nothing there.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Finally upgraded the PC and have a 5080 now. Have been trying to mess with doing some VR GTA V after seeing a YouTube vid on it and all the rave reviews for this mod.

Im showing a solid 90 fps from the built in fps-o-meter. reverb g2 headset

but im struggling with the crazy amount of ghosting or blur that happens on the slightest movement. I have to be careful when turning and do it super slow to keep it from being stupidly blurry and doing anything in a car other than driving in a straight line is no bueno for controlling the ghosts.

Anything that can be done to resolve this or improve it, or it is what is it?

Thinking about upgrading to the clubsport DD+

I see there is a refurb option for almost $200 less, this is quite enticing tbh, but am slightly worried about potentially getting a repaired unit or a unit that was returned for an odd behavior like coil whine or something idk, I read too much on the internet lol

Thoughts on the matter? or anyone with refurb experience, good or bad?

Finally deciding to upgrade from a 3080 ti and am kicking myself for not doing it during xmas time when there were some to be had for $950.

Checked the local micro center and there are 25+ in stock for almost every brand. The wind force oc is 1150 while every other one is 1250-1400

I knew they said prices would go up and now I hear prices may continue to rise as memory price increases.

Nobody has a crystal ball, but is it just me or will stores be forced to have sales, even if brief, just to move all the inventory they are sitting on. Are nobody buying these things at the elevated prices to increase supply this much?

Contemplating holding off till Xmas in hopes of some deals and them wanting to liquidate inventory, but feels like I should just do it... Nike.. lol

My iPhone 13 Pro finally had enough and I was ready for some improved speeds/battery after putting an upgrade off for sooo long.

Its been two weeks and the battery life has not improved, so the idea that a phone 'needs to cache' shouldn't be a factor anymore.
I've turned off AI, and always on display. All other settings are now equal to my 13 pro. background refresh off and location services off. Always on Wifi and never game. Majority of my SOT time is reddit and safari with a little Facebook marketplace and youtube, same use as on 13 pro.

iPhone 17 - went from 7 hours to 8 hours SOT, by turning off AI and always on display.
iPhone 13 Pro (w/ 78% battery deg) 5-6 hours SOT
iPhone 13 Pro (new) - 9-10 hours SOT

From all the marketing, this phone has a more efficient processor and bigger battery and much higher rated battery life, per apple. I was expecting 10-12 hours of SOT at least

Anybody else feel the battery life isn't where it should be? it doesn't seem to be on par with 13 pro when new and barely beats out an old one with the same settings.

Well, after months of searching marketplace, I wasn't able to find any dobs.
Then, a few months ago I found an Orion xt6 for $150. Bought it immediately.

Then a month later an xt8 popped up for $250. Bought it immediately. (thoroughly enjoying the bump in detail on planets, and slightly brighter clusters ive been able to locate)

I just missed out on an AD10 for $500. Barely missed it

But nowww... an AD16 just popped up for $1600.. Im hesitant. Its sooo big and not a small investment, but it would be end game, at least I feel it would given the 120+ lbs lol

I could manage it if I installed wheels, but unfortunately am in a bortle 8, but I do have access to a backyard with a bortle 4, within 45 min drive (relatives backyard) and only about 1.25 hours from bortle 2-3 campsites.

Question 1: From my reading, I'd probably have to lug this monster out to the other (darker) sites to really get its fully potential, right? or would there be a nice enough jump in detail/brightness in bortle 8 to warrant the purchase.

Question 2: is $1600 a decent enough price for a used unit with all original accessories? they claim it was barely used and probably for good reason given the size. Sounds like a lot of internet peoples say the bigger the scope, the less its used.

Any other thoughts, opinions appreciated!!
Currently own the entire APM XWA EP set and a William optics bino.

'Upgraded' to the Podium DD and the ffb is no where close to the clubsport it replaced. I saw some reports of this on fanatec forums and looks like they dropped a hot fix, which I have installed, but barely any difference made. Fanatec appears to have gone dark on the issue or are working it behind the scenes without us knowing.

It's super strong when I crank it up, but that's the only net positive difference. Its overly strong at times then weak at others. The balance seems poor and its very muted. Ive tried every setting possible and never had to do this with previous fanatec bases, so do not feel this is a setting issue.

Normally I adjust the INT up or down a little per car type im racing and that's all that's required, but this thing barely seems to respond to the INT setting. I can lower INT to zero and there is just no road feel.
Every car feels overly smoothed out. My fav car/track combos where the ffb would get violent are just dead now and the wheel barely moves unless I run onto something obvious like a curb or the wall. cranking the ffb strength up helps a little, but then its too powerful for my liking.

Anybody have insider info on this? Is this still a work in progress like the year+ it took for them to iron out the ffb issues from the clubsport DD line?

so far 0 for 2 with past two wheelbase launches having expected ffb results, guess this is what I get for supporting a company that treats its products like alpha or beta launches and customers pay the price.
shoulda stuck with the known working clubsport that took them a year to iron the details out on.

Recently picked up a Orion xt8 and am kinda new to this, but the scope appears collimated (per the previous owner and the included red laser I checked it with). I found some Explore scientific 82 degree and a couple astrotech xwa 100 degrees for a decent price locally, so picked them up.
I already had the svbony redlines (9mm, 15mm, 20mm) and the stock 25mm Orion Sirius plossl.
This comparison was for similar focal length EP's. the 100 degree xwa I have is 20mm and 9mm. the explore scientific I have is the 8.5mm.

So far, I really enjoy the extra FOV of these more expensive EP's, but after numerous tests, im finding the plossl and redlines to be a little sharper to the point I can make out more detail on Jupiter and the moon looks crisper, and stars look a little more in focus and the contrast seems greater (darker black background).
Jupiters moon shadow the other day was much easier to see with the redline 9mm and the red eye storm thing lol and the bands were crisp. While the xwa and explore scientific was a softer image. soft enough, I could not see these extra details nearly as well.
It was average seeing, so not the most ideal scenario, but an average one to say the least and probably the most common I will get.

Ive read some that believe the ES LER range is not as good as previous models, but it looks very similar to the xwa to me. Many claim the XWA series is very close to if not identical to the televue ethos. (for on-axis) maybe not as sharp on the outer bits. but I kept everything I was viewing centered for these comparisons.

Anybody else have similar experience or is there possibly an issue?

recently picked up a sv245 zoom. It is a 'fun' or a 'cool' idea, which is why I got it, and there was a sale. (impulse buy and watching reviews on YT)

But having some buyers remorse and thinking about returning it. I have EP's that cover most of the range of this thing from 82-100 degrees already. I find myself just going to my normal EP's and not much use for this thing.

Anybody do something like this before and return the zoom or just not use it? Trying to think about any good reason to keep it that im missing lol

I recently found a xt6 locally for a decent price and new to the hobby, a first timer here. Thanks for any kind words in advance!

The xt6 came with a cheap no-name kit with a range of eye pieces, and I already ordered some svbony goldlines as I see why these cheap kits are so talked down on. They work but def have a lot of issues.
Only one decent peice in this kit right now, the Orion 25mm, it def blows the no-name pieces out of the water for clarity and ease of use.

It has been quite cloudy so am barely getting any seeing done in between clouds unfortunately, but the more I zoom on the moon the more addicting it is! I was happy even throwing the cheap 2x Barlow on the 6mm from this kit. The atmosphere was a little wavy but I just looked right through it and stared at the moons craters for almost an hour getting eaten by bugs without even realizing it.

Any way, sorry for the blab, buttt, I found a local ES 82 degree 6.5mm for $75. They also have a 8.5mm that I was considering, but it seems rather close in mag and may be redundant or would be better to spend the money somewhere else like a 20-25mm.
I don't have a budget set yet, but have been eye balling a budget friendly binoviewer as I regularly play VR, I feel the immersion would be as awesome as described by some.

Thoughts? Opinions? What would you do?
Also, it is just me or is it kinda difficult to find these things used? When I do come across used eye pieces, they seem to be priced like $20 under brand new.
