i went to a local band 1 school and always knew there was a divide, but seeing the intl school crowds out in the wild is just wild.
if you go to gold coast piazza on weekends it’s completely packed with harrow kids, and it’s the same with the hkis and nord anglia crowds hanging around repulse bay and cyberport. physically the difference is crazy. both the guys and the girls in these intl schools honestly look way better and more put-together than local kids. it’s like they’re living in some western teen drama while local students just look stressed out and dead inside from dse prep.
i heard a story from a scholarship kid who got shipped into one of these schools, and they said the social hierarchy inside is brutal. apparently the cliques are literally divided by looks and money like "the attractive/popular kids" who only associate with each other, down to the "odd ones out", “wallflowers” “ugly ” ones or the bursary kids who get completely isolated because they can't afford the lifestyle and how their background (shorter and uglier due to worse foods).
for anyone who actually hangs around these specific spots or went to these schools on financial aid, is it really that superficial? what are the actual unhinged or scandalous stories from these cliques?
bruh whenever I see them they are way better than local schools. I just think abt what we got and cry 😢.
also the guys in those schools are way taller and athletic how?? they hkers as well and taller than average, also look way more healthy.
