I have what I’m hoping is an easy question 🤣

I’ve set up my custom settings 1,2 and 3 with kodachrome64, Reggie’s porta and summer sun. Classic chrome or reala ace are selected for these recipes.

When I select say C1 “summer sun”, this requires reala ace. However when I select C1 the film simulation still shows what the camera was in before selecting C1.

Do I need to manually change the film simulation each time after selecting the custom setting? I’m sure these must be something I’m missing.

Does this make any sense? I’m not sure I’ve explained it correctly 🤣

I set up my x100vi menu settings whilst watching the pal2tech video on YouTube.

I’ve since added a recipe on one of the custom profiles (C1) and noticed all the menu settings have defaulted to factory settings.

Do I need to go through all settings for each custom mode I create to match what I originally set up?

So, I initially had the X-E5 for a couple of months, loved the camera but kept getting held up on constant research/buying different lenses. I ended up having the 35 f1.4, 50 f2.

I then saw Amazon UK had the X100VI for sale at RRP and bought it, the main reason was to limit myself from constant lens purchases and having to decide what to use etc, I also like the additional features of the X100VI.

My only gripe (which I hope I can get over) is the silent shutter sound, I loved the noise the XE5 made! I know it sounds silly but using the X100VI with no shutter noise feels so strange, I have tried the artificial noise you can select but they just sound strange. I think the leaf shutter did make a very quiet noise but I’ve since added a UV filter and now it is silent.

So rant over, basically has anyone else come to the X100VI from the XE5 and gone back due to this? Thank you.

Thinking of picking up a surging sparkes booster box at £240, 36 packs-£6.66 each. Is this set worth it for the long hold?

UK based, first I’ve seen available from a retailer but also see a fair few are selling for similar on eBay.

I have seen that both of these lenses are the same filter size and seen some say it will fit, can anyone that has tried confirm? I have the 35mm f1.4 original hood, will this cause any vignetting on the 18mm? thanks
