Does anyone know of any apps for the homatics that allow you to connect to an Internet radio on the same LAN? I use UNDOCK on my android phone and its okay, but has some flaws that I don't like. I have a Microsoft store app on my PC, but I often find myself watching TV and thought it would be good to have something that could allow me to connect to my Internet radio and control it. Even though the UNDOCK app is android, the android TV OS doesn't support it.

I have the Dune homatics 4k R plus and while streaming, every once in awhile the video will go black for about 3 seconds, and then come back on. Audio is unaffected, and when the video reappears the tv (LG) says Dolby Vision in the upper right, then goes away.

This happens regardless of what I'm streaming (Emby, ESPN, etc.) Anybody see this?

I've watched many videos, wasted a few gallons of milk, and still all I get is very hot milk.

I'm there. I'm ready to throw money at the problem because the frothing gods have cursed me.

I'm close to the half-way point of s11 of TWD and was wondering if it's okay to start watching one of the spin-offs, and if so, which one? I am going to finish s11 as I am enjoying the past couple seasons more than the previous couple. I was just wanting to get a taste for one of the spin-offs.

I'm fairly convinced that its most likely impossible to get a cafe level cappuccino from the Jura.

That being said, it looks like there are 3 machine settings that can affect the end product.

1. Grind size; knob adjustment

2. Strength adjustment on display

3. Amount of espresso dispensed; display adjustment.

It's the aftertaste that has me disappointed. I'm looking for a smooth finish. I'm using counter culture big trouble beans, which are recommended for the Jura.

If anyone has a bean/machine setting combo that works for them I'd love to hear from you.

Whether its because they no longer brew it, or you've moved from where you could get it, or any other reason, I'm curious what beers folks miss.

For me:

• Schlafly's Belgian-Style Golden Ale (no longer brewed)
• Valmiermuiža (Latvian beer that is not exported)
• Carta Blanca (might still be available, but not where I live)
• Sam Adams Boston Ale (biggest surprise for me)

Went into my local beer store that has a great selection of beers and was surprised to see they already have some pumpkin beers. Seeing Schlafly was one of them I quickly snatched up a 6 pack of arguably one of the best pumpkin beers. The guy at the register said they received them last week, which means pumpkin beers rolled out in July this year. Is this normal? I moved back to the U.S. last fall so maybe things have changed, but I don't remember pumpkin beers coming out in July.

This past weekend I pulled the plug on a super automatic. I am coming from a Bambino Plus and a Baratza Encore ESP grinder. My wife was too intimidated by the thought of dialing in grinds, pulling a shot, then frothing milk. I get it, so was happy to make her a cappuccino every morning.

We decided that we wanted something that she could use without my help; enter the fully automatic. I did my homework, then went to a Williams - Sonoma where they let us taste a cappuccino and flat white made from a higher end model. The Z10 I think.

After trying both, I was not sold on the machine; however I chalked it up to them using mass-produced Illy beans, and not knowing the ins and outs of the machine.

We went ahead and bought it from Crate & Barrel (W.S. didn't have the C9 in stock). I talked myself into it because we use filtered water and buy fresh beans from a local coffee shop.

As any fully automatic owner knows, it is very common for a fully automatic machine to make a cappuccino by dispensing the frothed milk first, then pouring the espresso into it. To get closer to the manual process of pouring the milk into the espresso, I'm making flat whites. Needless to say, I'm not impressed. They are better than what I had in the store, but so far, my cappuccino from my old $700 setup taste better than from my $2,000 C9.

It's difficult to describe the taste differences, so hopefully people will understand when I say that the taste just isn't as smooth and the aftertaste is a bit off. It's drinkable, but I expected more from a $2,000 machine/

If anyone has any suggestions as to what I could change please let me know. My wife said her flat white this morning was great, but that might just be her trying to convince herself that we made the right decision.

Looking to upgrade from the subject line to something nicer. Budget is less than $2k for both. I have my eye on the La Pavoni Mini ($1,300) + DF64 Gen 2.5 ($355).

$1,655 for both. Anyone here have experience with La Pavoni? Other suggestions in the $1,500-$2k range? Is the DF64 worth the price, considering the Encore ESP is still working.

sidenote - Not a ton of counter space.

This is without a doubt the most painful exam registration I've been a part of. Pearson VUE needs a splunk ID. When you go to splunk to request it, they say you will get it from pearson vue, which you don't. Then you are told to email splunk, which I have done now multiple times. Every time I do, I get a new confirmation of STEP order and CASE number. I'm up the 3 each.

According to the STEP page, my 'Link to Certification Registration' was completed today. This date seems to reset every time I try to schedule an exam.

My progress continues to show 'in progress'. I cannot believe this has to be so difficult.

There's a course i was all set to buy for $15. It's been $15 for as long as I can remember, but now its $95. I reached out to the instructor and haven't heard back. On the Udemy website there isn't a way to contact them about this.

Online searches tell me to clear my cache, logout and back on the website but nothing seems to work.
