How much artwork do you expect from a 7-hour VN?

Hi guys!

Since I'm working on my first VN I'm curious about what players generally expect from a paid visual novel in terms of visual content.

For a visual novel with around 7 hours of playtime, what would you consider a reasonable amount of:

• Unique backgrounds

• Character sprites

• Animated characters (e.g. Live2D models)

Would you expect a game to have mostly static sprites, or would individually animated characters make a noticeable difference to you?

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Celebrating 1,000 wishlists ✨️

We hit 1,000 wishlists for 'Fyrardien'! 🎉

And apparently, the three love interests wanted to celebrate with you. ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡ So I drew them together to mark the occasion!

Thank you to everyone who has wishlisted my first fantasy-adventure VN and helped me reach this milestone! ♡

Now the important question:

Which of the three are you going for? 👀

Would you be interested in a steampunk mystery VN?

So, I'll finish my first visual novel soon and I thought about my next project!

My first game is a fantasy-adventure VN with otome elements. For my second game I would like to go into a different direction. Therefore my question:

Would you be interested in a steampunk mystery VN with darker vibes but also otome elements?

What do you think about bad endings?

Would you like to play a game with the possibility for bad endings or do you prefer games with only a good ending? :)

What do you think about the trailer of 'Fyrardien'?

I've made a trailer for my VN and wanted to ask if you think it's appealing, since it's one of the first things people see on the Steam page :)

Thanks a lot for your help, guys!

How to decide on a price?

Hi everyone!

I’m currently developing a visual novel and I’m trying to figure out the best way to price it. Since pricing for VNs seems to vary a lot depending on length, art quality, and content, I’m a bit unsure what would be considered fair or standard.

How do you usually decide on pricing for your visual novels? Are there any general guidelines or things you recommend taking into account?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Why are my Live2D exports so pixelated?

Hi guys! Short question: Every time I export an animation from Live2D, the quality becomes really bad and everything looks pixelated. It looks fine inside the editor, but after exporting the result is much worse.

Is there a way to export animations at a higher quality, or am I missing some settings? Any help would be appreciated.

Demo for my animated VN is free to play now!

The demo for my first game, Fyrardien, is officially out now!

Fyrardien is an animated fantasy visual novel where you travel through four seasonal kingdoms, build relationships, make choices, and uncover the mystery behind the dying World Tree. The game also features otome-inspired romance routes, allowing you to date three different characters!

The demo covers the prologue of the story and introduces the world, characters, and the choices that will shape your journey.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the demo - whether it's the story, UI, a funny typo, or anything else :) This community has been incredibly inspiring throughout development, and I'd be grateful for any feedback to help make the final game as enjoyable as possible!

Lust auf eine Rast?

Direkt neben dem Wanderweg wurde ein riesiges Feld gemäht - nur ein kleiner Fleck wurde ausgelassen. War zum Glück kein allzu wichtiger...😉
