I really wish they would bring back Fort Vancouver fireworks show!!!

I remember growing up and going every year down to marine drive or on the boat out at governments island. I believe it was the biggest fireworks display this side of the Mississippi river. Why did they stop doing that? Anybody know if they ever plan on bringing it back?

Confused with TT

Okay so if I remember right June tells Daisy a story about how she was brought to her parents as a baby. How was June there for that while Daisy was sung to sleep by Melanie because she wouldnt stop crying? Daisy is the same age as Agnes isn't she? Hownis it possible that June would have been there?

What was the most heartwarming scenes for you?

#1 Holly and June reuniting

Oh man I always hoped she was gonna pop up eventually but when I saw her from the back and realized it was Holly in Alaska I was already crying!! Then she drops the clipboard and it seemed like eternity for June to see her or well I thought she was going to look up and see her but didnt. That scene seemed like it was so long!! I cried and cried and cried!!

#2 When the eyes dragged Janine out of the truck and threw her on the ground I was so happy. Then watching Mrs Lawrence and Aunt Lydia hand over Charlotte who looked just like Janine broke me. So many emotions during that episode!

Which scene was the most heartbreaking for you?

For me it was the train accident. I didnt see that one coming. I was more concerned about what if the guardian gets pass the tracks too. How long is the train? How far could they get before the train passed and the guardian could chase them with the van? Then BOOM those girls got annihilated. Seeing June and Janine turn around and look just as it happens and the horror written all over her face.

That was the most shocking, heart ripping, and traumatizing scene.

Craziest find????..........Heres mine.

My friend and I went diving during a city mandated shelter in place due to some kid burning down the columbia gorge with fireworks. We figured perfect timing no one will be out. As I was going thru one dumpster she went thru a hole in the fence down a back alley to the other building to see if they had any furniture out and all of a sudden she comes running saying she found a body wrapped in plastic, at first I didn't believe her but I saw her panic.

She said she dropped her phone and I have to go back with her and picks up a random knife that was next to a glove and told me to take it for safety. I told her shes crazy she just picked up the murder weapon, so she throws it down and I followed her most of the way. She grabs her phone and we run to the front of the stores.

Then I look around see a bunch of cameras and realized we could be blamed we just wanted to get out of there thinking the killer was around. We paced back and forth debating what to do when the sheriff's drive by like usual on that street.

So I flag the cop down and we tell him we found a body. He calls back up and they have me wait behind with a female cop while the two dudes followed her. I was having a panic/asthma attack so they almost called an ambulance.

A few very long minutes went by before they emerged and she tells me the cops must have been rookies cause they made her walk first and they opened the lid the were freaked out. Cop #1 opens it and radios in 187 we got a body. Cop #2 kicks the dumpster....nothing happens and kicks it a 2nd time and on the 3rd the dude jumped out scared.

Cop #1 yelled why the fuck are you in the dumpster and why the fuck are you wrapped in plastic? The man was in fetal position wrapped in plastic said he was trying to escape the smoke from the wildfire...... I will never forget that night.

Thank God he was alive and that never happed again. BTW Portland had an active serial killer on the loose and it was beginning of covid.

Literature

I was thinking about how screwed the newer gens would be if our power grid fails, then I thought about history and how easily it could all be a lie and the books they teach us from is probably a bunch of b.s...

If we all read off tablets and kindles, stop buying books, toss out books, donate them, not cherish them like we should be what happens when eventually we do have a power grid failure?

How many times has this been repeated thru out history?
