How it feels to know what hedgehogs were before sonic
Context: I knew about hedgehogs from stuff like fairy tales and books and stuff from when i was a kid, plus I'm bulgarian so I've seen a couple hedgehogs in my lifetime
I also didn't know sonic was a hedgehog for the longest time until I found a "sonic characters in real life" video where I realized he was one, for a while i thought he was a cat
Is wily more megaman's villain or light's villain in your opinions?
I'm now significantly less new to megaman and have become accustomed to many of its aspects (for one, I'm now in the sigma stages of X 1 and 2) but wily, despite being the main antagonist of the classic series, doesn't really seem to have a particularly personal relationship with rock, the main protagonist, the guy who he fights every other game, but instead has more personal hatred towards light, who's basically a secondary character
But I'd like to hear your opinions
OH MY GOD THEY'RE GIVING CHARMIE A LOBOTOMY!!! (Source:science daily)
Oh the irony, technically mine, made in IBIS paint X
Feel free to use it as a reaction image or something, I really don't mind

Light family gatherings must be incredibly awkward after the events of megaman 1 and 9, we don't even have to talk about proto man
I mean, Imagine you're rock and are forced to fight your siblings who have been brainwashed by a literal terrorist in order to kill you, I'm surprised he doesn't have any trauma from the hundreds of games in the classic series
Can robot masters be classified under Artificial general intelligence or Artificial narrow intelligence?
Mechanoloids like mets are definitely narrow intelligence and reploids like armored armadillo are definitely general intelligence, but the robot masters themselves are kinda perplexing as they're designed to and bound by a specific purpose and stick to it their whole lives (unless you're sheep man and tundra man) kinda like narrow intelligence, but they've very much shown human level cognitive abilities as well as emotions like general intelligence
Over all, I just wanna hear you guys' thoughts
Just realised splash woman is the most loved robot master in the entire series and i can totally see why
For one, I love splash woman, second favorite robot master, so i obviously don't mind that she's popular, and tbh I can understand why she's so beloved, she appeals to so many different demographics of the fandom, People who like cute RMs? She's definitely approachable. People who like cool RMs? She's not big or spiky but she can definitely look tough depending how you draw her. Casual audiences? She's the only woman so she's definitely gonna leave a lasting impact. Queer audiences? If you've seen her development history you can probably piece it together. Gooners? She's attractive I'll tell you that much. People who do Challenge runs? Haven't played MM9 yet but the laser trident is pretty good at its job
Of course, she's not universally beloved, I've seen some splash detractors, but one of them was a misogynistic a-hole and the other ones I know they exist, i just don't quite know their reasons
So Overall, splash woman is very much loved
Little comic i drew just in time for tau day
So today I decided to vesper woman-ify splash woman's original concept design, ocean man, or in this case, trident man, he likes sea life and is very shy, so please be nice to him
The second slide has him interacting with his design inspiration (wink wink, nudge nudge), they're on good terms but choose not to talk to each other much due to making each other feel upset
No one asked 1a: pilot
This was completely unscripted and kinda bad tbh, but I do hope i can at the very least improve it in the following episodes
Decided to do the template myself, the second slide has the template if you wanna use it yourself
You know what day it is!
As i was drawing this i realized it was all light numbers, if I didn't then I would've added centaur man
Here's a little thing I came up with, yes it's a reference
I drew a caricature of cary for my art class on caricatures today
I hope it looks somewhat decent
I wonder, do the robot masters have civilian names?
This is probably a stupid question but I randomly had the thought "wait, if megaman and protoman have civilian names, do the other masters also have civilian names?" Now ok, blues isn't actually protoman's civilian name, it's a fanon things, but my point still stands
Just my lunchbox btw
edit: I ment to say "filling" and NOT frosting
Now this is a theory I had for a long-ish time and I wanted to share it with you guys because I thought it was interesting
So as you may know, blues, rock and roll are the first robot masters ever created being numbers 0,1 and 2 respectively, but as a kid who had very little knowledge of megaman, I assumed rock and roll (i didn't know about protoman at the time) but when I learnt that they were the first ones, I was confused, and tbh I'm pretty sure many others would be as well since you'd expect the young main character that's also a robot to be the most recently made one, and that's the case for stuff like mighty number 9 where beck is... well, mighty number 9
However, one day in a discord server I thought of this post's main premise, "the first three robot masters are children, because they were made as bases for future models". Now, what do i mean by this? Well, prepubecent children are basically the baseline for intelligence as many of the smartest animals on earth like corvids and octopuses are frequently compared to 3 year olds in terms of intelligence, and obviously, if I wanted to create a line of sapient robots, I'd likely start with children or highly intelligent animals as a basis, now I probably wouldn't start off with a 10 year old like how dr light did, but maybe I'm just a cheapskate, who knows? But if you're using the most basic level of intelligence for a human, then you can start thinking bigger and make more advanced models
And so he did, the original 6 from megaman 1 are created in order to do basic jobs like jumberjacking or building, and by this point it's become clear that light has a good enough grasp of how to replicate children that he started making more adult level robots, while you could say robots like cutman or iceman are likely still quite child level for the most part due to their higher voices or small stature, coupled with cutman's characterization in powered up, I'd still say light has mostly figured out how to make ai on the level of grown men and women by the time he made gutsman
Now this is a fun bonus theory, that bonus theory being that robot masters got more advanced over time
Now, we already mentioned the first 6, but what we didn't mention are the bots from megaman 9 as those are also made by light, well, as you can see, their jobs are much more technical, aka: weather control, space exploration, quality control in a tv factory to even saving people's lives. This is a massive leap from stuff like arctic exploration or working at a power plant, and I think that's the point, hell, even before megaman 9 you could see the masters get more technical like how Pharoah man was made for the purpose of cave exploration or how astro man was made to work at a planetarium, this rapid advancement would likely be the thing to culminate in light's final creation, X, and how he has free will
Anyways, i hope you liked my ramblings on this random idea I had, please comment your own ideas down below
