Confused Mercedes eqa250+, 4000 driven, 2025 April model for 40k

live in Berlin and recently ordered a Tesla Model Y Standard Range. I also rented one for a full day through Miles so I could properly test it before delivery. At first I was super excited, but after driving it for a day, a few things started bothering me.

The biggest issue for me is the interior experience. It just feels too minimalistic. No head-up display, no driver display behind the steering wheel, and honestly for almost €40,000 it doesn’t feel particularly premium inside. The fact that almost everything is controlled through the central screen bothered me more than I expected.

Now I’m comparing it with a used that I could get for around €39000. Every time I sit in the Mercedes Eva 250+, it simply feels more premium, more comfortable, and overall more luxurious. My wife also clearly prefers the BMW interior.

BUT… here comes the real issue:

battery warranty is 8 years for 70 percent.

I am worried that after 4 years when my Mercedes warranty is over and car breaks down or some problem occurs then how I going to handle it. it will be very expensive and I will not be able to handle it.

Tesla Model Y vs BMW iX1 in Berlin — no home charging, what would you choose?

I live in Berlin and recently ordered a Tesla Model Y Standard Range.

Now I’m comparing it with a used BMW iX1 that I could get for around €32,000. Every time I sit in the BMW, it simply feels more premium, more comfortable, and overall more luxurious. My wife also clearly prefers the BMW interior.

BUT… here comes the real issue:

I live in an apartment in Berlin and I have no possibility to charge at home.

The main reason I’m still leaning toward Tesla is the Supercharger network. There are Superchargers near me and honestly I don’t want extra stress in daily life — searching for chargers, using multiple apps, hoping the charger works, etc. I just want a simple and stress-free EV experience.

So my questions to BMW iX1 owners or generally non-Tesla EV owners in Berlin (or similar cities):

- How annoying is daily charging without home charging really?

- Is Berlin’s public charging infrastructure reliable enough nowadays?

- Do you sometimes regret not getting a Tesla just because of the charging network?

- Or am I simply overthinking this?

Right now my brain says Tesla because of practicality, but my heart says BMW because it simply feels much more premium.

Would love to hear honest opinions from people who have experienced both sides.

Tesla Model Y vs. BMW iX1 in Berlin – ohne Heimladen, was würdet ihr wählen?

Not able to change steering weight in Tesla model y standard Germany

hi guys.

i want to really order Tesla model y. did test drive today and loved the control on car with help of regenerative breaking.

but my problem i am not happy that steering weight cannot be changed on Tesla model y standard version. secondly blind spot didn’t work. how is it possible that car like Tesla doesnt have blind spot detection.

third the screen on right side. I couldn’t use even to navigate it because I was only looking in front. and looking so much to right was too tough for me. even left right camera screen was not useful.

I wonder how can this be easy?
