Now that the sub is under new management, has anyone got the ball rolling on that coming-soon class action? I’m genuinely curious, I don’t think I’ve got my $600 or whatever I paid worth of popcorn out of this yet.
Does anyone here have any experience with the discount tire loot box? Any good pulls or expectations?
For context: I have a Chevy S10 ZR2 and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find tires in the OEM 31” size, so I’m swapping wheels as an experiment and don’t want to drop $1k on tires in case there turns out to be unforeseen consequences.
Does anyone have any experience using an FP300 outdoors, or another Aqara-compatible weather station?
The weather on the thermostat is very wrong, it’s correct for a location about 30 miles closer to the coast, but useless more inland. I’d like to have access to the local microclimate, including temperature, humidity, maybe even precipitation UV index, wind, pollution data, etc. for automation of things like A/C and whole-house fan so I can optimize the climate control.
IE if thermostat is set to 74 but it’s 68 outside, run the fan, not the AC.
It would be super slick if I could find an Aqara-compatible indoor air quality monitor too for the same reason.
I’m new to the Aqara ecosystem, just put a U400 on the front door and it’s great, and a U300 I don’t love quite as much for the garage, I’m considering swapping adding another U400 for the garage.
My question is about the backup key feature, I know it’s a Schlage type lock, and research tells me it’s a 5-pin lock. I want to make the U400 match the locks in the rest of the house, especially the security door. So this comes down to a couple questions:
Is there a way to use a 6-pin Schlage core with the U400?
Is it a standard core?
I can easily drop off the cores locksmith, have them roll a matched set, and pick up and swap them in at a good price. If can get a 6-pin core, that’s preferable because then I don’t have to get new cores for all the doors, just the Aqara locks.
What wiper blades and arms are you guys running?
I’ve got a 97 S10 ZR2 and every place I look says 20 inch blades, but the passenger side doesn’t lay flush when down and it annoys the hell outta me. I got some aftermarket wiper arms for a supposedly newer model year with the passenger-side wiper arm being about 1/2 shorter, but still the same problem, about an inch of the wiper hanging out in space. Any suggestions that don’t involve just getting a shorter wiper blade? I like having the redundancy of just getting 2 of the same blade.
